Head gasket people please step inside

Anybody know anything about using Fel Pro's 1094 .015 compressed embossed shims? The guy at the machine shop asked me what kinda head gasket I used and I told him and he asked "Why are you using those"? So I told him for the slight compression gain. He said that people can have a hard time sealing them for some reason. I ran them for 3 days without a problem until I overheated my motor (bad thermostat) I think. And when I pulled everything apart, the head gasket looked fine even though it was burning coolant(which it why the heads are at the machine shop to see if they are cracked)

they tend to leak more than the .039 embosed gasket. they require a better surface finish then some other gaskets. i use copper spary on sealer and not had any problems.
