LO5 TBI cyl. head valve springs

What kind of lift can the stock LO5 TBI truck valve springs handle? I'm going with aftermarket heads in a few months but want to put in a different cam right now. I need to replace the valve seals as well so what springs and valve seals should I get? The cam is mild.... less than .460 lift

Thanks,

I don't know the specifics but to sum it up the stock springs are garbage and should be replaced if you plan on putting in any respectable cam. If you're gonna do all that in addition to the trouble of changing a cam, you might as well cough up a little more $$ and get a decent set of aftermarket heads to take advantage of that cam. World products has fairly cheap aftermarket heads that outflow the stock heads by a ton......

I'm going with Trick Flow 23 deg. heads when I save up enough money but I have this cam that I want to put in sitting around, & I'm doing Holley 670 TBI w/ portmatched Edelbrock manifold at the same time. I just want to replace the springs & seals now even though I know my stock heads are crap.... Are LT1 or I've seen Z28 springs mentioned to as a good, cheap alternative? Or should I got w/ Comp or Crane springs? what about seals I think the starnard o-ring type would work out fine for me know being that I'm not going to have these heads for a whole lot longer.

Thanks again,
