Tach gets jumpy (Loose connection??)

Tach gets jumpy (Loose connection??)
My Tachometer after the car geys warm it jumps around, but only if you put it to the floor and then it goes a little haywire. Is this a loose connection, where is the ground for the tach on my 1988 350 irocz???
