Which head gasket to use?

I'm considering either the Fel Pro 1003 Perma Torque Blue with steel ring or the 1010 Perma Torque Blue with Copper ring. I'm looking to run about 350 hp with a vortec 350, plus I'm also considering a shot of nitrous in the near future. Anyone have any recomendations?

the 1010s are meant for use on aluminum heads, the copper ring keeps the head from brinneling. other then that i'm not sure if it's any different than the 1003.

So does this mean that I should use the steel ring instead of the copper ring even though the copper is thinner?

the copper's not thinner, it's just more malleable so it doesn't brinnel (indent) aluminum heads. if you have iron heads, i'd go with the 1003 because it's a bit cheaper and isn't any worse than the 1010.

my mistake, the 1010 is .02" thinner, which IMO provides a negligble gain in compression, it's $10 more for the pair.
