98 V-6 Vs Me

Alright, This guy has a 98 v6 and when ever I see him he is always trying to show off by spining his wheels. Id like to race him and shut him up but im not sure who would win. All my mod's are in my sig, who do ya'll think would win? Also, when I install my s/r tqr heads , edelbrock intake, LT-1 cam & march underdrive pulley's would I be able to be any sort of a match for a LT-1?

ok judging by your mods i assume you have a LO3. With those mods you should be able to beat a 98 3.8 Camaro(i assume that's what u mean)

Any 4th-gen V-6 98 or up, sorry about not saying which engine I had But yes I have an LO3. I was just currious because I know my car is slow (but getting quicker with every mod ) I just didn't want to start something and get imbarrassed! Besides I figure there a good starting ground on figuring out how far Ive come sence I bought my car stock last Sept. The 98+ V6's have more horse power then me so I figure If I can beat one of them Im headed in the right direction

Hold on man. i have a stock 165 horse V-8 camaro stick and a 3.23 open rear, and I can take a 98 v-6 stock. (auto). You should be able to KILL him with those mods man. I bet you could give him a run now.

Thats good news because I was getting kinda worried my moded V-8 could actually loose to a V-6 I guess the only way to find out tho is to go do it! As long as my car looks/sounds good and can hand at least some people there *** ill be happy

I mean come on it has 220 horse and 200 ftlbs. And it ways colse to 3600 pounds. That is a big car. Its a freakin Grand Prix engine. I bet you can take him practice your launches though man. Use your torque get in front of him and STAY infront of him so he can't say ANYTHING

And if the 3rd Gen has most options it will weigh a little more.

the 3.8 fbodies run anywhere from mid-low 15s with the right driver. on the average, expect high 15s out of them. remember, the L03 ran low-mid 16s stock, so you almost have a second or so to catch up

I guess thats where I have the advantage because I have no PWR. Windows, Seats, Locks, ect. the only power option I have is the power hatch and of course stearing.

My friends 99 3.8 Camaro ran 16.0...my Probe GL amost beat his best!! Of course..if it is 5spd..it should be quicker. I have no prob beatin the 3.4's with my Probe....bst trap speed is 85.5 with it..not bad for 110HP...

dude i raced one of those, and my car runs a 15.8. let me just say that he had gears, chip, flowmaster, cai and a few other things i cannot remember, and he even had his girlfriend in the car. we raced from a roll and he got about two car lenghts on me to about 70, where i was gaining on him and he let off. he had a 2000 with a stick. they are pretty fast, id say they are good for high 15's stock, his car probably would run low 15's. i really dont see that lo3 beating the v6 camaro, but if you outdrive him it is possible.
