killed a 1998 eagle talon turbo

me and this guy that lives like 5 miles from me had a race today, i was crusing this nice back road that has pretty steady traffic, and then i see this guy pulling up behind me like within 4 feet of my bumper then slowing down, he did it like three times, and the next time, as soon as he started getting close to me, i hammered it. he gunned it too, but he was no match for my 1990 350, i continued too put distance between us untill i was doing like 160 km's P/H then theres this gradual turn i forgot about, and my tires were screaming all the way around it... so i pulled onto an on ramp for the highway, and he came too, i let him catch up, and then i proceded to go to 200 km P/H and completely wasted him.......

i guess he thought his car was fast, because he had like 15 little yellow stickers all over his hood, and fenders, and a big chinese banner on his winsheild...

ha ha

i think i scared a few people on the highway, the traffic was light, probably only passed 5 cars doing 200, but i think it was really stupid of me, i dont think ill go over 150 anymore when there are other cars around

just how fast is 200km/pr anyway? isnt 88 = 55mph? if so, 176 would equal to about 110 or so. damn man, how fast were you going? kinda dangerous, dont you think, just to prove your fast to a slower car?

Unless it was bone stock with a slow-*** driver, you got played. A couple guys from my SOLO2 club have *MILDLY* modded '97 TSis and I watched them walk a ram/air WS6 on the highway to about 120Mph.

Needless to say, I got DUSTED...

*waiting patiently for the Vortec/383*

i'm with Matt on this one, this car was bone stock or the kid couldn't drive cause those cars pull very nice mid-high rpms but nice kill nonetheless

Most of the mild ones run kinda poor/average trap speeds for the ET actually, most of their decent 1/4 time is because of the kickass launch (assuming AWD).

And the AWDs are notorisiously not so great on the highway which is where this race was, soooo...

Of course there are alot that are just plain mean too though, I was merely talking about mildly modded DSMs.

You have any mods on the 350?

yes my car has a few mods, all the free mods, as well as camshaft and such, im not sure what all is in there, but the guy who sold it too me said its close to 400 hp, as well the car only weighs 3200 pounds, he shaved off a couple hundred pounds..... my car will whoop a 1996 350 camaro 6 speed with ease,

i dont know what all the guys did, but the wiring is all moved on my car, things that should be up front, are at the back and stuff, and lots off extra crap was removed so i guess the guy knows what he was doing, as well i have 373 gears, and fat 255 tires the rear fenders were tubbed out a little to allow extra room for bigger tires.

unless u have a nice set of heads and a nice sized cam 400 hp is a pipe dream.

Anything else done to the car?

The rear doesn't have to be tubbed to fit 255's just so u know

i know you dont need to tub out the fenders to fit 255's but they were his street tires, not track tires, they were 300+, 15's or something

Nice Kill!

I disagree with the people who say the driver must have been poor. The newest TURBO eclipse/talons are much heavier than the older bodies. These are the ones to look out for. It also seems that your car is not stock.

It just feels so much better to kill them when they have the japanese window banner, stickers and fart can
