running an ws6 LS1 soon...

My track times was 8.55(1/8th) at about 82.mph with a 1.84 60'.

Got a 2001 TA been jumping on my back wanting to run me...
He's basically stock with drag radials.

Sounds like a pretty close match doesn't it...

I think it all depends on if I hook or not.

I just swapped to a 3500 stall converter from a 2800. I'm hoping it'll knock me down a couple of tenths.
Guess I'll know after this friday.

In my '98 t/a (non-WS6) I ran a 8.75 1/8, and a 13.5 1/4 (same run).

'01-02 cars should be making more power than I am. (LS6 intake, cam difference, no egr, etc..)
Also, Drag radials would have helped me out, I was on NANKANG brand radials. My 60' time on that run was 2.05...I could have bettered that with drag radials (wheelspin).

If its a six speed car, they have a hard time 60'ing, even with drag radials. The T56 w/3.42's has a deeper 1st gear than A4/3.23 carsl

It'll be a good race

Good luck.

It's going to come down to who can put their power to the ground. It'll be a driver's race all the way.

about that Licoln

I know this off the subject but...

Man I saw a Licoln at Memphis TN. street racing. It had the 5.0 with a procharger blower on it. Cobra R rims with dragradials.

Let me tell ya dude, it was bad. She was bustin @ss.

Just saw in it in your signature. She said she was running 12's in the heavy lincoln. Talking bout sleeper even with the blower.

the lincoln is a badass car. If I would have got some better tires on my lincoln and ditched the 400lbs of tools and crap i had in my trunk at the strip i think i could have seen a high 14 second pass. Which to me is pretty impressive for a 4000lb(curb weight) land barge of a lincoln with a bone stock motor and a header back exhaust.
