raced a LT4

well looks like I am still pushing the car and learning how it drives

ended up pulling up to a LT4 camaro today and we both pulled off the light and at the same time we hit it doing about 5 mph and I ended up getting about a half car jump on him and was gaining a tad
by about 20 I wasn't gaining as much and we stayed fairly well matched up till about 45 and then he started to gain on me good and I let off at about 55

I am sure I coulda done better but I shifted the car at about 6500 going into second and that wasn't cool should have hit a little higher up. but still I am happy even though I did lose

what do they run anyway? and do you think he was just toying with me?

also ran into a jimmy today having some fun
we kept just slowing down to about 15-20 mph and then just gunning it hard and every time I would just walk away from him
fun thing though was when we hit a light and I was able to slow to about 5 and then rev up to about 4000 and dump and go
by the time I hit second gear I swear it felt like my front end wanted to come up, the whole back end just jerked BAD and to the right. he just rode up next me smiling and gave me the thumbs up.....

ahhh I love this car once again :-)

and camarov6rs dude I have all the stock equip from my old car hooked up including the old CPU so for the most part I am back to what I had before the turbo was on the car
though it ran rich before hand also

donno will fix that one soon

Yes an LT4 camaro is extremely rare. I'm guessing you raced an LT1.

RX: My boy with the RX-7 has got a NEW (old) RX-7...jesus, this thing came with a LOT of options...! In car phone, headlight water nozzles, speakers in the headrest, leather, and a CD player (in an '88, I think..??). Even the stock rims look nice, they're like a spiderwebby polished aluminum of sorts....but it's a convertible, and the previous owner had it broken into, so the top is all sliced up...($700 new for a top...), but he got the car itself for $1000, Canadian. Anyways, he had to put new cats on it to pass emissions, and MAN do they ever stink! Like, when I'm driving behind him with the windows down, it's noticable, even...oh well. Glad to hear the car's back, bro!

LT1s are probably a high 13 sec car with most drivers, maybe even a very low 14 with an unskilled driver.

Nice kill!

LT1's are still very fast to be beating in a N/A second gen rx-7. It sounds like youve got her running pretty good again. Too bad no turbo...It must have been nice to pull that 12.5, even if it was on a gtech.
