Almost beat a 5.0

I thought these cars were fast. Hes got a 1994 LX. We were both at a light and hes got an intake and exhaust. He starts revving and i start revving. My car is bone stock and i was pulling on him up to about 55 then i missed first i missed third because i was still a new driver. But this kid talks his car up so much. I guess he don't know how to drive.

Um, a 94 LX (there are no LX's after '93 anyway) is actually a 3.8L V6 with a whopping 140HP. It's the same motor that come in Ford Windstars. Those cars run low 16's.

Fox Body LX's ( 79-93) come with 5.0's and haul ***, but 94-up Base model Mustangs (sometimes incorrectly call LX's) are 140HP V6's only. In 99, they uppped the HP on the base model to 193HP, and that got them to run 15's.

If that kid thinks his 94 V6 is so fast, maybe he should take a REAL 5.0 out for a drive....that'll shut him up quick about his car

I agree with Mustang5L5, if you lost to a base model 94, you would have one slow car! They run in the 16s and with his mods, he would maybe crack high 15s! If it is a GT then it is faster but slow compared to the 87-93 cars!

Dammit....i really need to INSTALL my mods and stop UNINSTALLING THEM! I had to put the stock exhaust on and put the timing back to 10 degrees because my inspection is this month. I also took the pullies off so i can get some good use out of my A/C this summer Sitting in traffic with a black car w/ black interior is HOT. I'll sacrifice 10HP for a few months. Can't wait to put my exhaust back on, and get that damn cobra intake in!

PS...i forgot how quiet these cars are stock. I only have my MAC cat-back on but it still is pretty quiet

the car he is talking bout is a 93 LX 5.0

one day we asked him what he would run at the track and he replied "if im lucky, high 13's, but really low 14's easey"

ok, his only mod, euro tail light are gonna make that stang so fast, they add like 130 HP per liter!!!

Ugh....Mustang *****.

My friend pulled a 14.3 in his 93LX with just exhaust. But then again, i know a bunch of kids with 5.0's who are just interested in looks and bragging and don't know crap about 5.0's running mid 15's

Same with me. Some Mustangs owners I know will say they run mid 12s, have never gone to the track and get beat by mid 13 second cars! My car started off with rims, and just a B cam and headers, so I kind of started off with the ***** mentality, but those 10 holes just don't look quite like the Cobra Rs!
