Ever since I finally got the engine back in my car every one at school is wanting us to race... 1 is 94 5.0 exhaust and 5speed, the other an 88 5.0 exhaust, heads and 5 speed, mine 86 Z 350 .060 over, head work but mostly stock and 5 speed also. Before we race I am getting my tranny rebuilt and adding a short throw shifter and would also like to get rid of the 2.73s, I will prob. have headers and exhaust when race........I dont think I will win against either one of them but how close would it be? The 88 ran a 14.6 and the 94 hasnt run at the track be4 and neither have I.

 

The '88 ran only a 14.6 with exhaust, heads and a stick? He must really suck at driving or spun horribly or something. Heck, all i have is exhaust and gears and I ran a 14.4 with a stock engine and stock automatic tranny and spinning a good deal of my 1st gear.

That '88 should be in the high 13's. The 94 is probably high 14's if he can drive.

 

I think you'll lose to the '88 by a little bit and you'll beat the 94 by a little bit... They both probably have about the same Hp, but the '94 is much heavier and should be no threat to your 355.

 

Sounds like school around here. Crappy 94-95 stangs.
Youll smoke em both, Yeah, the kid in the 88 has a faster car but cant drive.
The kid in the 94 is an Dumba$$.

 

Ya that 14.6 seems slow. I went 14.6 with a 2.52 60 foot time! And my car isn't running right! You shouldn't have to worry about the 94!

the 88 will be faster than the 94. dad has a 95 GT and ive been in a few 5 speed SN95 stangs...dont compare to a fox body. although the sn95 do outhandle the fox bodies by far. especially my dads...17x9s, STB, good shocks/struts...handles good.
