who would win??

im curious becuase im trying to sell my 3rd gen for one of these cars. if a 97 lt1 6 speed can hang with a ls1 i might could save some money by buying a 97 instead of a 98.

would it even be close? i really want a ram air car but i dont think i can afford the ls1 version. could a ram air lt1 hang with a regular ls1?

i think the 98 LS1 would be the fastest.......
but of course you have to look at ram air, 6 spd, auto that kind of stuff.

I picked the WS6. I think that it would outrun the LS1 but only a little bit. I like that fact that it's still the traditional SBC too.

LS1s are faster than LT1s if both are stock. figure about a half second difference in the quarter

so a auto ls1 trans am would beat a 6 speed ws6 lt1?

if thats true i might just get a regular ls1 trans am because they are about the same price as a 97 ws6.

Sure it is. The only difference is the crank-driven opti-spark and reverse cooling system.
