What's the point of racing slow cars? Just duke it out on your huffy's and save some gas.

I nearly squared off with a karate trained weightlifter once. Started talking about my car and it escalated. Yeah, yeah karate, weightlifting...Do they teach you how to recover from a brick shattering fist planted squarely on the nose? I've never seen a karate class, and I've broken several bricks-one punch....but anyway...that's your fault, talking about fighting, got me wound up.
I'll try to find some info in my magazines and get back to you.

dunno it's a V8, and it's like a 96-98, like i said i dont much care for this kid so talking to him about his truck isn't high on my list. anyway i'm not worried about fighting him, he's a fat over weight homo... if he decides to talk more **** to my face all hell is gonna break lose. if anybody has Chocolate Starfish and the hotdog flavored water turn to number 4 that's my new favorite song. anyway.... he wont race me i dont think, but u never know i guess. i wana race him and then get out and kick the **** out of him, but most likely i will only get the chance for one, to me it doesn't really matter which

I think this is a race you should step away from. This guy is nothing but trouble. Sometimes you have to be the man and walk away.

And sometimes you have to be the bigger man and beat him up. j/k
The most powerful engine I could find was this:
Triton 5.4L 8 Cylinder 235 hp Gas
* Horsepower: 235 @ 4250rpm
* Torque: 330 @ 3000rpm
Those are good numbers except its in a truck. So unless it says Lightning on it I think you should win.

Well the truck weighs about 5400 lbs, right?
Let me tell you something from personal experience. If a stupid person gets a truck, and it is capable of running low 17s or high 16s, he or she will be thrilled about it. Trucks, most anyway, feel fast. Anything with enough torque will never feel slow. That's what makes people make me feel a little guilty when someone rides in the LTD. Despite the fact that it's not fast, it has low end torque, very low. I can plant someone in the seat at 1600 rpm. "Wow, this thing's fast..."
"uhhh...yeah...sure..."
On the other hand, most new cars, excluding Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, and trucks...don't have that much torque, yet they're faster.
Sad really, speed without torque just isn't the same.

I don't think he would be asking if it was a Lightning.
Wait...wait...maybe it wouldn't be so bad of a race anyway. Stickers, neon lights, fart can, glowing shifter, seat all the way back.....maybe....

Well, now that hot86z-28 is done his ranting about this guy and he knows the outcome if he raced this truck, I think this post is done.
