***** can't kill a buick
I was in columbus today helping a friend move into his apartment at OSU and we desided to go get something to eat at a resturant I know of on the south side of town. we took I71 and on the way down I see a 96' or so riced to hell and back honda civic flying up on me in my rear view mirror. about then I was wishing I had drove my 91 b4c but no, I was in my 87' buick park ave with a 3.8. As soon as he got up beside me I punched it just to see what would happen. I heard the fart can exhuast get louder, but he never gaind an inch. I was very disapointed by the honda. I can't believe people think 16 sec or slower cars are fast, I've run a 14.2 at 96 with my b4c and I don't think it is all to fast. After I slowed down he did the tipical fly by witht the dirty look as if I had made him go so slow. oh well, chalk it up as the first kill for the $200 buick.
P.S. any spelling errors should be blamed on the guinness.

"is so much friggen rice this year up at college it's rediculous. It's even happening to Stangs."
LOL, I second that. Around my neighborhood there are two v6 stangs w/ the clear euro lights and a rediculously oversized wing on the back. Then we've got the what seems to be 200+ civic ex's and dx's with an oversized coffee can exhaust, but I won't go there. The other day I actually seen a completely riced out cavalier, the entire interior was spray painted yellow! It was hideous. Ahh, what some people do to their cars to get attention!

Thankfully it's been different here this year. Only 1 super-riced Mustang [V6 of course] and the rice from last year. Mostly just souped up Fox Body stangs. Some freshman actually brought a 2000 Saleen!

I see this one goofy looking 'stang in Vandalia every week that's multi-colored, has some goofy hood, euro lenses, odd rims... stuff that would look okay on some imports but just looks like butt on a 'stang...

They sure can make v6s, but according to something I heard recently, they also make one hell of a big block. My cousin read about equal modifications on the three GM 455s.(Olds, Pontiac, Buick) .......
Guess which one was the fastest? I was shocked...and hurt...since the Olds came in last. Because of expenses and not enough revs most likely.
I love buicks. My brother has a 90 Ciera SL with a 3300 Buick v6 in it. 160hp/160 lbs/ft or more. 1/4 mile in 16.5 (guessing), 8 seconds to 60, with 130k on it. It's not a race car, granted, but to me that's impressive.

yeah the rice is invading the great white north in the upper michigan. unbelievable.
the new mustang ricers are pretty pathetic, but atleast it is somewhat of a fast car. i will cry the day that somebody trys to mass produce a body kit for the camaro that rices it out.
btw mark a. shields where do you go to school? and what for? I go to Michigan Tech for Mechanical Engineering.
