Hell no! 60' is too short to call a race!

Poll: legitimate race?
The story:
2 cars line up and agree to race
car 1 takes off with horrendous tires spin, bouncing off the revlimiter, floating valves and 45* sideways decides to let off after 40-50' of racing.
car 2 spins also, but gains traction halfway through 1st, both cars remain dead even until car 1 lets off.
A legitamite kill for car 2?

Yep, I've never seen someone take a friggin street race so seriously.
car 1 was me, my friend got lucky. period. We both know it but he's going around claiming he won and therefore the fastest in our group since that was me before.
will he rematch? nope, he flat refuses to.
he told everyone in our group that he's not going to waste any races with anyone else until someone beats me first
LMAO!!!
Anyone who thinks that such a 'race is legitemite obviously doesn't win a whole lot of races.

He won but probably because of your launch. A rematch is needed because of this. He's gonna have to sooner or later. Thats no way to win a real setup race when you see the other person made a mistake.

I cut 2.1 60' consistantly with my stock suspension, so your right, I can't drive at all!
Ironically, the guy I raced usually can only pull .7+ reaction times and 2.7 60' because HE can't drive.
I've beaten other friends in the same circumstances, I never considered that a 'real' race. I will bug them that they got beat, but I don't go around bragging that I'm fastest simply because I beat him off the line.
if my friend COULD drive, he woulda been way out in front, that felt like a 2.6 60' at least and he was beside me the whole time.
lesson learned: stay in the race even if it sounds like your engine is going to blow up

I was thinking...60' is too short to call a race...but then if you pair up a couple Geo Metro's 60' would be plenty long enough 'cause after that the noise of the engines would be drowned out by the sound of the spectators snoring.
