I'm getting bored

On my way home from the track (made it to the semifinals and jumped back into 5th in the points standings) I was running down I95 headed north right around Colonial Heights when a green 4th gen Z28 pulled up next to me. He started it, so I ran him...ehh...no contest. I pulled about 4 cars on him from 60 up to about 85 or so.

Next up, on Rt. 10 headed home...85 GT convertible at a stoplight...he started it again, I finished it real quick. ZzZzZzZz....1/2 mile later he decides to try me from a 45 mph roll. OK buddy, just walked you from a stand still. Put more cars on him that I can even estimate.

I know I don't have the fastest car in Richmond...not even close, but it's starting to get real boring not getting any decent races.

edit...forgot to mention that the Z28 was an LT1, not an LS1.

Dude, appreciate your car for being fast and beating so many things. Its much better to be fast and to be the winner.

Don't get me wrong, I love my car and want to make it even faster, but there's no fun in racing if there isn't any competition.

Be glad theres no competition, it puts you at the top. You will get races, and the 1's you get will be the great 1's most would want to have.

I agree with Nic, racing someone who is just as fast as you is fun!!! It makes for a good race. It is no fun just wining (like I would know)!

Oh I don't know, it was fun when some guy in a brand new $40,000 Audi TT egged me on. I wish I could have seen his face when I just absolutely destroyed his Turbo AWD car. Talk about no contest. I can't wait to line up next to a C5 or a ZO6.

Hey Nic I will trade cars with you, and even take the Flows off!!! Come on I bet this car as it sits outside, with the ET Streets on it would run a 13.4 at 101-102!!! And it is a trophy winner!

OK Nic,
I have had the same problem, not as extreme as yours but I live in a town with like 25,000 people so it isn't that big of a deal to be top dog . So just go out and get a second slower, closer to stock car and race that on the streets, more competition and more fun.
Just my $.02
Later, Garrett

I hear ya Nic,
Since I have been driving the LS1 car all the time, I have no gotten into a single decent stoplight/highway run.

Sure, when I go out and set up a race with another car (mostly LS1's anyway) I can find a good run. But driving in traffic is kinda boring.

Well heck, since you are looking for a run, if I ever get this thing back together, I'll look you up next time I'm in Richmond. Won't promise a photo finish, but I may hang with ya for a little while.

I hear ya on that one.. Seems the ricers enjoy trying to pick on me the most. I've had 4 fox bodies try and give me a run and all lost except for my friend's 87 GT(R.I.P). I even had a notchback owner say to me "try that on the highway!" after i stomped him from 0-60 in a stop light battle. I've yet to have a thirdgen mess with me. It's too bad cause i like getting into good races.

Go race some rice rockets if you want to get beat. Suzuki Hayabusa or Kawasaki ZX-12r should do the trick.
