okay so i posted that i might goto the track...and i did...on my way to Route 66 (worst track ever, ill explain why later) i come to a stop light and there is this GTP next to me. i always wondered how i would fare against one, my ex g/fs brother hadone and he always wnated to race me, so i figured id give it a shot. light turns green, i keep it in first but dont launch her, and i stepped on the gas, instantaneous jump of 1 car...2 cars...3 cars...4 cars by end of 3rd, ive seen modded ones run 14.4 @ 94mph so i was kinda nervous to be upset, i had a buddy of mine in car w/3/4s tank of gas. so were almost at 66 and i see this yellow roush, my buddy says its a RAHVN but im like wth is that...it had effects and stuff (sounded HORRIBLE) but i didnt bother to race him, he was doing 65mph and i couldnt get him to slow down to go into 2nd, so i followed him to 66. so i pull up, give the lady the money, and shes like I hope ur not planning on running...OVER 400 CARS. thats ********, everytime i try and race at 66 i never can, i cant stand it! So she was like do u want to watch, i grabbed my money and was about to move when a guy came up and said "hey you coming sat for the test and tune??" i was like uh who are you, he said "i wanna run you." ive never seen this guy in my life, he had a black Iroc-Z, im like you dont even know who i am, do u normally just do this to people, so after a few more smartass remarks i turned around. i figured he wanted to ru nand we were both leaving, we can test them on the highway. so i pull up next to him...he was going about 55mph which is 4500rpms in 2nd so i slow down and wait for him to realize im not coming back up until he slows down. he slows, but speeds up again. so i put her in 3rd and we race, even...even...hit 4th, walked hiim. i ask my buddy to see if he had a 350 and he asked, he said "he didnt know." then he asked what i had, i said stock 305, he said then he had a 305 the car was camming, but the iroc was in front so it was an 87 earlier like he said. so this time, we race from 2nd gear (my best gear). im in the powerband and we step on it, holy **** hes even in 2nd gear, 3rd gear i jump 1/2 car out, 4th gear another 1/2 gear. this car was no 305, i dont even wanna imagine what an LG4 would have to do, if it was, i give props that thing moved. everytime i raced him, i heard like a clicking next to me, sorta like if i took my tranny and went from left side of neutral to the right. anyway, i sitll won so im happy but his car was fast, it had ttops also. for my 3rd race, im on my way to school at about 8:30am and this black civic with 18s is next to me, no fart can so i figure hes nothing...he starts revving his engine at me, whatever, its a civic i thought. after about 2 blocks of this kid antagonizing me, i figured id let him have it. we race from 35mph roll, and i dropped him like a bad habit, REALLY hard. so this time i pass a car and get ahead of him to get 1st dibs on the lane and he gets next to me, i rev the car to 1800rpms and get ready for launch (i was prepared to humiliate), light goes green, hes with me for about 1/2 second spinning like a mad man, i looked over still singing lynard skynard - gimme three steps and stomped on it, i never beat a car so bad, i even let him catch up in first, im at 4500rpms holidng it for asecond for him to get even with me, then stomp, chirp, rearview mirror. he didnt want to play anymore after that, all in all was a good past few nights, wanted to see how the car ran at the track tho

 

nice job. I can't wait to see what it'll run when you actually get a chance to be at the track. You're def right about that iroc. It had to be a 350 to stay that close to you. Good runs. I especially love the Civic slaughtering

wish i could find as many street races as you do, youre posting one about every day! of course if i brought the Vette out of the garage more than once a week my chances would probably be better

well i know there are a lot of LG4 people out here, but as an example youd have shave 2 seconds off, plus the idiot was lying, we first asked him "i dont know", second time we asked him "i dont know"

when he asked me i said 305 and then he finally said 305. i was like what dood i hate people that keep **** secret, its not like he won neways

but an 85 would need heads, intake, cam, headers, gears to make up 2 seconds.

 

maybe even more. At least i would need more. My car doesn't like mods. It doesn't really like anything.
