LOL what a moron. News flash, its 2002. So a 1999 Corvette with 45k miles is costing now what my car cost new. And not only is the 2003 a better deal but has less miles and a warrantee. Sorry

A good friend of mine was telling one of his friend's about my project. The kid starting talking smack and wants to race. He's got a 98 cobra, supercharged. I am really anxious to get my ride done now!

Are you saying you wouldn't buy these? These are nice as hell! I think anyone on this site would get these over a cobra anyways, More than an overated 99 cobra, moron. (This is counting out the 2003 ) By the way your car is very nice, but not as nice as a C5.

No I wouldn't take the insurance rapped 2 seater C5 over my overated 99 Cobra. And I have beat every single C5 I have gotten next to except for one that raced me when I had just exhaust, moron. And if my car isn't as nice as a C5 explain to me why the trophies are under my hood instead of the C5 in the same competition ****, give me my blue oval over a damn C5 anyday.

Well, up here, they don't go for less than $65-70$ thousand. So they're pretty scarce. I have yet to see one or hear of one that someone has seen. With a price tag like that, not any ordinary Joe can go and pick one up, so odds are that whoever does buy one, probably won't mod it to much and if they do get mid 11's... Well 12lbs boost on the 383 should work out quite nice.
Horse****...

Tell you what, I'll go get one from the local dealership for ~38k, and you cut someone a deal. Tell them they can have it for 55k, which is 10k less than you can buy one there for. Then, I'll split the 17k in profit with your 50/50.

Deal?

Hey Monkie, I have trophys too and my car isn't much to look at! I think a C5 would have won them over my car!!!

I would actually rather have the 99 Cobra!!! Why, because with a live rear, 4.56s, DRs, exhaust (they sound better also) and a few little bolt-ons, low 12s are possible. Again Bob Cosby is the main inspiration there! 11.85 and 12.02 in NMRA trim!!!

C5 over a 99 Cobra. LOL the 99 Cobra being "overated" is a good thing if you want a blower in the future. Low compression = low numbers. Low compression = higher boost. Do your math before you go talking **** little boy. Oh wait, you have a 3.1L no worries, when I had one I was close minded an sometimes too hopeful too. News flash a DOHC *little* 4.6L with 10psi will put you close to 500rwhp. 10psi on a LS1 engine will put you close to a local dealership part's department.

Hey it's all good, stay with the oval power baby! More C5's for me! And what do you mean trophies under your hood? Do you store trophies under your hood? Or are you saying that your engine is better than a C5's? I am happy you can beat a C5 with your modded car. Do you think you could beat one if he had the same mods as you? The truth is that anybody that can afford a C5 and it's insurance usually is really old people who don't go out and buy mods for their car. So most C5's are stock. Whoopty doo on beating a stock C5! It's done everyday by all kinds of cars. And there's no way you can tell me that your car doesn't have extremely high insurance for how old you are.

This was strictly a show class though. And with a saleen body kit and S351 wing I'm afraid the vert Yellow C5 was alittle behind on the cosmetics

I have it listed under a recreational car and I drive a 90 RX-7 as my daily so no I'm not paying much at all anymore. And I have beat many stock C5's. There is money around Greenville, you don't have to look hard to find a modded anything.

ya... go post that on LS1.com

You have serious issues with thinking before you say things. I'll be running 12's next week most likely and what do I have? 2 mods? and my car was a hell of alot cheaper than yours.

Oh please boy, I am not knew to GM engines and I know a LS1 pushrod engine with 10+psi wont last long. And you will be running 12's next week? 2 mods you say? Great, my overated 4.6L with nothing but gears, exhaust, pulleys, and CAI ran a best of 8.3 in the 1/8th.

Little boy? You're just as old as I am, dumbass What the hell does having a 3.1L have anything to do with what I know on cars? So what you have an expensive car. You can afford something as expensive as a cobra. Good for you, but everyone on this site knows that you were the original dumbass that said his V6 (When you had one) beat 5.0's. Then you took it to the track and ran a fast as hell 17! https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...threadid=60389
Not to mention the countless B.S stories you told on this board. I bet there's still several people on this board that still think you're full of **** about even owning your car. Seriously, if I could afford insurance on anything better than this 3.1L I would buy something better. But after being quoted 400+ dollars on a 94 Z28 each month for insurance I decided to keep my wee little V6. See that's what happens if you have to put the car under your own name and not your parents. You can bull**** all you want but unless your a rich son of a b!tch, I don't know how you can afford insurance on your car. And again I really like your car and I will go on record as saying I didn't say anything bad about the 4.6L DOHC engine. I like Mustangs, I still want a nice fox body but insurance and other bills hold me back. I'm happy for you being able to have such a nice car.

boy? i'm probably older than you..and all this is going to turn into is another flame war, that I won't be part of. I'm glad your car did that with 4 mods. I'm just planning on making 12.9's to 12.8's with some D/R's and a whisper lid. I'll find out soon enough.

Hehe, I did beat that 305TBI I swear about that one. I never said I beat a 5.0 Mustang though. Anyways back to the topic. I have insurance under my name. If you will listen...I have the RX-7 under a daily driver and the 4.6 under a recreational car (meaning a weekend car). So the insurance for the Cobra is next to nothing. And I am by far rich. Besides graduation money, paychecks, and the loan I took out I'm broke as ****.

Yeah I know, I read about the rx7 after I posted that one. Sorry about that! How much is your insurance anyways for both those cars?

<Hey, SVT>

Why don't you BEAT IT!!! GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE, WE DON"T NEED YOUR CRAP!!!GO BRAG ABOUT COBRAS ON A MUSTANG SITE. WE ALL KNOW THAT THE NEW COBRAS ARE FAST, I'M PRETTY SURE WE CAN ALL READ.

What's really funny is that for the past 5 years, all the camaro SS owners should have been browsing the stang sites so they could brag about SS's , wouldn't that have been cool!!!

That is considering that until the 01' cobra, Mustangs have just been gettin the poop kicked out of them by WS-6's Z-28's and Firehawks and Super Sports. WOW, you guys are way ahead now huh?

I and a bunch of other members on this board could build an f-body for 1/2 the price of a new cobra that would out-perform it in every way, so keep talkin' smack. Go buy a new cobra, Hope you don't run into a modded SS or even a blown one perhaps, that could be embarrassing, oh watch out for Gn's. Pretty much watch out for anything cause new Cobras are not unbeatable!!!

Who cares about the Cobras, they are faster stock from the factory, super duper. So are Vipers, why don't you brag about them, why not Ferrari's?? (price range I'm sure)

Cobras are fast, Modded cars can be faster, they are not ***'s gift to the track. NUFF SAID.

All I gotta say is next year when I import my FTO from japan, your all done for. Sure I'll only be running 15.2 stock, but hey, I will be only the 22nd FTO to be imported here. People will break down crying when they see it because they have been in the dark and have never been graced with the presence of the FTO! (lol) and then I can turn my camaro into a drag car...LONG LIVE FTO! (and camaro too!)
