Nice article but old news everyone here already knows that a honda costs more $ for less hp.

BTW, if the Buick would have put ceramic coated pistons in the engine he could have run a 100+ shot of nitrous and had alot more horse.

Also the article does not mention torque one single time. I'll bet the 455 has the Honda beat there.

The fact that someone is THAT concerned about the whole import vs. domestic pissing contest scares me.

One thing that you may want to take into consideration, the wieght of that buick motor is going to be more than double the weight of the honda motor. While that doens't really matter as far as drag racing, I don't think a motor that heavy would be very good for a road course. They both ran 11's, which is impressive either way..

Heck, I'm impressed the honda got into 11's anyway..

OK yea the buick corners like crap, . Who cares 1/4 mile straight acceleration is King . I have never been challenged to a road race ever always strip racing.

Also if the Honda had that kind of engine work it had to have a lot of suspension mods too. And those mods are set-up for staight line not cornering. So niether car would be good through the twisties but niether where built to be.

Damn, 33 lbs of boost to keep up with the 455... That motor probably blew after the first run.

Well I don't know about you, but around here there are a lot of turns. In fact I can't think of one road that is completely straight from start to finish.

I'm just pointing out that a 455 Buick wouldn't be as streetable because it would handle like a train and you can't deny that. The honda would at least be CAPABLE of being a daily driver given that you back off the boost and put in any decent coilover kit.

I'm not a fan of cars that I have to TOW to the drag strip because they are not street legal. IMO drag racing isn't very fun anyway, I'd much rather do something that requires a little bit of skill.

BTW- DO NOT view this as me bashing domestics. I'm just saying that neither car running 11's would be as practical as an LS1 camaro running NOS..
