my ra's vr4

he tells me last night that it's got 315#'s of boost. no joke. i even asked him a few times to make sure.

him: "twin turbo man, 315 psi"
me: "are you sure, three hundred and fifteen pounds?"
him: "yea, it's a vr4, twin turbo, 315psi. it says it in the manual"

unless that guy has a centrifugal compressor on his turbos from the future there is no way he is getting 21.5 to one compression from a single stage.

not to mention every gasket he had would blow and the intake charge would be like 1000 degrees F

lol yea, it's stock. it's really his parents' car.

i just thought it was really funny.

i think if it really is 315#'s, i'd beat him because the car would explode before it went anywhere.

if its kPa then that would be 3.1 pressure ratio and 45.8 PSI total and thats 31 pounds of boost!!!!

if a stock VR4 runs 31 pounds of boost I will eat my hat or buy one.

ah, it looks like you're the winner. but if you know anything about cars, how could you confuse torque with boost? especially at a tech school....

i hope he drives as well as he knows his car

Did he have popup headlights? If he did then it's a 91-91 which had 9 psi. stock. If they were projector lights (94-99) then it would be 12 psi. stock. This guys obviously a dumbass
Some people amaze me.

Tell him that you want to RACE!

Do it for all us downtrodden that are always fighting with our RA's!

I got an RA story that'll get you pumped for the race.
Last year, I parked in my RA's spot one day, was just gonna be a minute. Well, guess who pulls up, but my b!tchy RA just as I'm getting back into my car. She starts yelling at me for being in her spot as she's parking. PARKING ME IN, that is! The hoor parked in front of my car, so I couldn't move it! After giving her some verbal abuse back, she went into the dorm. After waiting like a half hour for her to come back out, I used my stone cold phunky phresh Ford Escort to push her car out of the way! I bet she was pissed when she came out of her room to see her car in the middle of the road with a slightly dented quarter! Yea baby.

Couple weeks later, she had cops come to my room because she smelled "that smell" that happens to be all over campuses. You know what I'm talkin about.
Buddy of mine got charged for possesion, but the cops let him off after a stern lecture.

Woa, that's a ramble I went on! ^^

Race this guy!

oh i'm definitely going to race him. i told him i'd race him at englishtown, but i think he might want to race on the street.

he doesn't have a video camera, and neither do i.

once i find out when and where we're racing, i'll have to find a camera, so i can post the results here.

ra - resident assistant (or something like that)

It is mostly used in college dorms. It is the person in charge of a floor or a dorm.

ok i just talked to him again, and i said "by the way, there's no way your car is boosted 315#'s. i said the torque is rated at
315 lb-ft. he goes "yea, i was talking about torque the whole time, 315 psi!" so i said "no no, torque is the turning force the engine generates" and he says "yea, it's like tire pressure or something, 315 psi!!"

this is at a tech school!!! a smart guy tech school!!!

i said "don't you remember torque from physics??"
he goes "yea, i did bad in phsycis..."

by the way, the car is completely stock and he doesn't drive it often.
