When I look at a car's performance on a stat sheet, I don't pay to much attention to horsepower and torque until I see what times it pulls.

true, but torque is usually a pretty good indicator if you had to pick one. at least for gas engines.

True torque is very important, but u cant just ignore HP. If u look at a data sheet and look at just torque between a L98 and a LS1, there pretty much the same. Then u look at the HP, and they u start seeing a difference, so everything is important.
