I might be buying this trans am, it has the LG4 with a 5 speed, and 3:23 gears.

 

Faster than my car if you can drive well. Those gears will help. Full exhaust and an air cleaner will get you to mid 15s. Stock, I'd say 15.7 at best probably in the quarter mile. Depends on vehicle condition. Could be as slow as 17 seconds though. Make sure the carb is in good shape.

OK that is my car, exactly. It is slow man, it drives really nice though. I have no times because I never race anything in it. You need to mod it if you want ti to be fast. BUT I get 28 mph on the highway, and like 18 in the city.

I never look at some thing and say I would like to buy it but "how fast is it" I only savor the possibilities.

 

I just wanted to see how fast it is stock because i have a 85 iroc and i was just wondering if it might be faster then the 305TPI thats in it.

 

No, the 85 TPI engines had much better cams in them. The 86 had the peanut cam. Also the throttle response will be better with the fuel injection.
