fast S10, or slowass me???

well i think this was my second race ever, lol. i come up to a light where there are 3 lanes. left lane to turn left, middle to go straight and right lane to either go straight or turn right. well since there were about 4 cars in the middle lane i didn't feel like waitin behind 'em, and got on to the right lane. about 500 feet ahead or so my lane merges on to the middle one. well as i got to the light i see this old lookin late 80s/early 90s S10 pickup. thing looked beat up, but had a badazz soundin exhaust and wide tires on the back. so i get next to him knowin he's pretty sure gonna want to play. sure enough the light turns green. my tires scream like crazy and i keep even with him until about 50mph when i had to slow down cuz of the merge. so he got ahead of me. i think the traction hurt me a bit cuz his tires didn't make a sound. at least not that i know of. it's hard to pay attention to things when the adrenaline is pumping.

i wanted him to slow down so i could ask what he's got under the hood, but he just kept going.

i still had fun though

yep those trucks can be made quick. lookin at my father's 89 S10 under the hood, i wouldn't think a 350 would fit in there. i wish there had been more road though. would've been interesting.

well a 350 is two more cylinders on a 4.3L block they're the same size. So basically the motor is moved forward around 2 inches I want to say....no clutch fan anymore, no space. but they fit really well only problem is weight transfer then. Although the 4.3L can be made to go mid 13s rather easily with some bolt-ons so it could have just been a v6. I'm still upset that my S10 SS was quicker than my camaro last year. Although there's a lot more money into the car this year so we'll see what happens.

I ran into a v-8 s-10, and my first reaction was "why the hell won't you just fall back?" That thing clung to me till about 75 and then I pulled slowly and let off around 100. I was thouroughly impressed with it I must say. Wow.

At an autoshow recently I saw an LS1 in a 2000 S-10. The thing was AWESOME. And I don't even like S-10's.

Just a mild 350 in an S-10 doesn't scare me that much. They weigh just as much as our cars do, but, most people think they weigh alot less for some reason? However, there is one around here that has a mild 350 w/a diesel turbo on it runnin 11's! It's pretty badass. Had to cut a hole in his hood to make it fit.
