I don't understand this board. I have never seen so much hating on cars not 3rd gen oriented. I am specifically speaking of the hating on imports. When i go to the track I always find myself talking with a lot of cool people and shooting the **** about whatever comes to mind. Who are these people? Mustang drivers, Camaro drivers, whoever. Everyone there (domestic or import) get along great. I dont understand it. Are you guys really like this in person or are just trying to show off your internet muscles? I hope I don't start a flaming war but I just wanted to get it out in the open.

if you have a 12 second ride and this civic pulls up next to you and starts revvin his weed wacker at you..what would u do?...i mean if he had any common sence hed know that hed be waxed from here to next week...

these type of people need to be made an example of...

people here seem to be kinda cocky. i dont know why either, most thirdgens are slow, rusted out POSs.

 

I have been here almost as long as you. LOL. Anyway, I drive a Honda [/runs and hides behind chair/]...I would love to have an LS1 camaro/TA but it is just not a car that I can own at this point in my life. I am a 20 yr old college student, who drives a civic si...why? It i extremely cheap to operate, maintain and I drive the **** out of it. Also RWD doesn't work well in the winter. I hope it lasts me a long time. I obviously can't afford an LS1 F-bod but they do appeal to my taste. My point in the original post was not about me not liking the site, I just wanted other people's input on all the internet bashing.
Oh yeah f-crazy, what does the speed of a car have to do with you respecting someone?
I do understand everyones complaints of the jerks that rev on every car w/ their sohc 1.6 liter non vtec 4 doors but damn! Don't incorporate the ******** with every "import" driver. I have seen plenty of people who own V6 domestics that think their car would blow the doors off anything on the road, just because it is a mustang, or camaro. I guess it will be a never ending story "Imports vs Domestics"

 

the way i see it the import guys picked the fight first . they're the ones talkin out their fart cans at us (well maybe not always) so what else can we do but teach them a lesson and make them spend more money on stickers, wings, and lights?

 

most imports are a waste of time. As a teenager, i see all this crap flying around, thinking there all hot chit. Its killing car culture. Most of these kids dont know what the hell there talking about, and they start to act tuff. Trust me, i know, because i see people like this every day. Work at a parts store for more then a week, and you see how many teens come in looking for "mods" for there windshields... its a shame. Now there are fast imports. I have respect for them, but i guess i dont understand how dropping a WHOLE lot of money into a 4 banger is a good idea? (but then again, im dropping a large amount into my 305)
I do have respect for people that respect cars, but not these kids who cut 2/3's of there springs, put 200lbs of speakers in there cars, slap on some lights and stickers, and call themselves fast? They deserve to get bashed in my eyes. I can go on, but you get the jist. Anyway, welcome to the site. You have been here for some time, but you have been non existant it looks like (32posts) so your basicly new here.

 

actually I have seen people rag on someone else without them deserving it. or raggin on people without having all the facts.
there is a lot of import hating on here just because..... well it's an import.


also how do you know the guy comming next to you reving his weed wacker isn't some guy like me who enjoys getting waxed by someone a lot faster.
i would take every chance I have to rev at any car that sounds worth a darn. but yet if you didn't know me and I pulled up next to your car and started reving I'm just some ***** kid who needs to be shown a lesson

**** I got a lot of crap from people when I first came here.... was just some *****. a lot of new guys not knowing I have been here for a while gave me crap if you want I can dig the post up. why was the crap given? cause I'm a *****... I like imports so that means I must be right?

honest this is one of the most uptight boards I have ever seen. yes I still like it. there is info and honest about the best place around for thirdgen info, and a lot of the non-haters are cool people to talk to. so I will stay and enjoy it. find it funny though that this board can't have a general loung cause the problems that it would cause. yet you go to a mustang,rx7,DSM, or even a honda forum.... and they ALL have one and it works fine. again this is nothing against dirk, brad, or the mods. but goes to show you what some (not all) of the people here are like.
