My friend has an 87 Buick Regal with like a 307 in it and its auto. I have an 88 Camaro 305 5 spd. We were out crusing together and we caught a light. I had my t-tops off and my bro and his friend in the car. We hit it from the light and he is like 1/2 car ahead and we were doing like 55 in a 40. We meet up with traffic in front so we slow down fast and then my bro yells "COP". I look in my mirror and a state trooper was behind us. I quickly turned right and my friend continued straight. My friend said the trooper was on the phone and didn't even give him a second look. We both nearly crapped our pants.

 

close call indeed, that always scares me alot when racing and you look back and see a cop or two. this one time i got done racing and a cop flew bye us wtih his lights on i thought we were both caught but he/she must of been going to a call.

 

man same thing happened to me a 2 weekends ago. we were in traffic at a light and a Firehawk was behind me. at the time i didn't know it was a hawk and i could hear him reving up but there was cars in front of us. so i let the cars in front of us get a nice gap in front of me then i stomped down on it and this hawk was about a car length back spinning the wheels. when i caught the traffic at around 40 mph i looked back and seen this unmarked with his lights on! i was like oh chit and got over in the slow lane and the cop blew by me and the hawk and pulled over some dumb *** in an import that dumped the clutch and pulling onto the road going across 2 lanes of traffic. i never seen the cop pull him but my friend in a LX 5.0 said thats what happened.

I don't what's worse, almost getting caught or the fact that the cop couldn't even tell you guys were racing. You guys need some mods.:sillylol: Ha ha just kidding.

That is a little too close. The worste is when you do somthin on accident. I was out crusin the other night. going to make a left hand turn. I had to go quick and my car is slow. When I got on it my tires started to spin and I went sideways around the corner. There was a cop right there, had to of seen the whole thing, I pulled into a car lot and turned off my lights. Luckily, he didn't come get me. It turned out I rolled through a puddle so my tires were wet.

 

I got somethin closer. Last night I had just filled up on gas, and I was heading to my friend's house to pick him up. We live in the same neighborhood, so he wasn't too far away. There's a new street that had just been paved a couple hundred yards south of my house. (you can see the road in my sig, I'm heading towards the foreground of the pic) There's a connecting street that meets ours at a 60* angle, so it's easy to to just blow the stop sign and turn right at a pretty good speed. That's just what I did. Now it's 9:30 at night, and there's little light out, so I roll outta my turn and a car is coming in the opposite direction with his brights on, so he sees me and dims his brights. I get closer and I see the light bar on the top of his car! ****! It's a sherriff! I go by him at 20, and he starts to turn around. I'm like "oh man he's gonna get me he's gonna get me he's gonna get me". Good thing he doesn't turn around very well, I see him get into reverse, and his reverse lights come on so he can make his 3-point turn -- my chance to take off and get the **** outta there.

So I give it a little gas as I'm just passing my house. Guess who sees me....my dad. He sees the cop too. But I keep goin. The cop doesn't get a chance to catch up to me fast enough by the time I make another turn and I'm 1/2 way up the neighborhood. I didn't get pulled over, but my dad chewed me out when I got home and threatens to make me sell the car.
