What do 83 Ho camaros run stock

Hey I was wondering what the L69 HO Z28 ran stock , because I am looking for a project that I can get my brother for his 15th birthday so that he can really start getting into camaros , I wouldnt want to neglect him and have him come home with R*ce.Anyway I have a choice between a 79 Z28 with a 400 sbc that hauls *** , but is a little more than I was looking to spend and it has a knock, That 83 Z28 , and a 85 Iroc with a 305 TPI that runs good but the guy doesnt have a title. I really think the 83 would be a good Idea because its in real good condition and only has 90k on it , but I want a car that we can build up so I was wandering what they run stock. Thanks

Didnt those things push high 15's. Cross Fire Injection blew hard.
If you were going to build it up...I wouldnt go with a 305. The 79 sounds cool...plus you HAVE to build it up if it has a knock. Then again, Then best one is the IROC.
Sounds like to me you need to keep on looking. Find a IROC that has a title.

its not Crossfire if it has the HO engine in it. the HO 305 was the high output carb motor... 190hp, 240tq, and came with 3.73 gears. a great driver with a stick COULD hit high 14s with one in good tune, but if its auto and an average driver behind the wheel, itll most likely do mid-high 15s. thats not to bad for a 15 year olds first car though. throw headers and a good catback on it with some drag radials and an average driver could see those high 14s easily.

83 L69 only came with a 5spd. So if it is in good tune it should be flat 15s, to low 15s. Shouldm make a good project car.

my dad had a brand new 83 H.O. Z and it ran consistent 15.20's. it would be a good starter car IMO.

Arligh thats about what I was thinking since this is his first car low 15's should be good for a start , we were just looking for a car that we could easily get into the 14's that sounds like its possible with proper tuning . I appreciate it.
