Teamed up w/ a GTA to whoop a stang

Sunday I finally got my car running after 3 months of it sitting in my driveway making me sad. So I decided to go cruisin tonight which is normally a bad Idea because of the way my car rumbles everyone in their mom wants to race me . Well I am on this 3 lane road when a 94 or 95 5.0 pulls up next to me and starts jumping back and forth at me . I was going to ignore him considering I just got the car fixed but when we got to a light I hear another roar.I am in the very left lane ,the stang is in the middle , and a red GTA pulls up in the right . The GTA was revvin it up so I did the same and the mustang did as well . So the light turns green and we take off, me and the GTA leave the Mustang by about 5 cars and are right next to each other as we pull away , It was beautiful.I wish there was some way for me to get that on camera ,that felt really good.

If you beat him by 5 easy cars then he has a 15+ second car, ouch thats pathetic! Nice kill for both of you!

the Mustangs on here are the ones i like. i am fond of the Fox-bodies. especially the 87-93 5.0 LX's or GT's...

Wasn't '94-'95 the horrid 4.6 years..? Or was it '96, or something? I always get confused...

No 94-95 were the last years for the 5.0 they are pretty hard to find.

94-95's were 5.0 and the slowest of the 302's. They weighed more than the 87-93 and the computer pulled timing between shifts to make it easier on the trannys.

Yep the fox bodied stangs are the natural 3rd gen enemies, the 94-95 stang was a dog with more weight and the 5.0 tuned differently.

I just toasted a couple riced out contours last night through town, it was funny. The local kids all meet and hang out through town on the weekends and its like a ricefest. While it was a little race it was nothing near full blown, they were egging me on and just as they lunged forward I downshifted and left the 2 of em in the dust (no SVT's hehe). And I looked damn good doing it too GTA's and third gens are timeless!

whoa! where did you hear of this club? the last time i heard of this was on www.corvetteforum.com in the "kills section", which sadly is no longer part of the board. there were a few guys (EricVonHa was one i distinctly remember) that started this over there. is that where you heard it from?

You got it Nic!!!

1996 was the first 4.6 in the Mustangs, and although the GTs were pigs, the Cobras more than held their own! My friends with a catback and pulleys just pulled 270 rwhp! On a Mustang Dyno (not Dynojet 248) so he could be close to 280 on a dynojet!
