killed 5.0 in LT1 debut

A friend of mine who has a 90 5.0 has been talking about runnin me since I got my camaro. So the other day I was brining him over to my master mechanic's house to install some 3:73 gears. I told him to follow me, and of course I knew what was going to happen. We got beside each other at a light, and he started revin it. I dropped it in D and looked over and smiled at him. I must admit I was nervous a little, he's probably going to marry my cousin and I don't need him ribbin me at all the family gatherings should he win. For some reason i thought that the light had just turned red and I had time, the next thing I knew I heard him squeel, I was to busy looking at him. So I mash it and he had already jumped a car length on me, I spun considerably and this gave him almost another car length. Then my car hooked and his 2 cars lengths vanished in what seemed an instant, we were door to door for about a second and I didn't start walking away I ran! watching him fade further and further in the rearview it was beautiful. when we got to my mechanics house he was like you KILLEd me! and i was like were you expecting something else? He has had his car at the track and its in the high 14's right now, I told him I'm hoping for high 13's, he said judging by the murder I'll do that for fun probably mid 13's. I hope he's right! I guess there is only one way to find out!

Nice kill, sounds like you have a fast car, and if it has an LT1 it should pull mid 13s!

Go to user cp up top, then edit profile i think. Then make a sig.

Wait till he gets gears in that car, the 3.73s will wake the car right up!

Ya I know, I'm in desperate need of Nittos and I'll be sure to have them ready for him when he has his gears! Hey 25th mustang, I love your car. My girlfriend's brother had a 88 LX 5.0, very sharp car! I don't dislike mustangs at all anymore, actually kinda like them. But I'm starting to get irritated with this civic nation BS! I can't wait to eat up some ricers and imports!!

Don't even bother with the civics you see out on the street. It'll take a turbo for most of them to run even remotely close to you.

or beat you I had a turbo'd hatchback civic take my *** one night in Arlington, surprised the hell out of me. Only consolation was that it was a very short race, 35-60 mph, and I was just into 2nd gear when we went. Oh well, still a good race, he took me by about a 1/2.
