A kid at my school got a '79 corvette for his 16th birth day and he wants a lane. im not sure if its the 195 hp or 225 hp motor, but what would each of them run 1/4? i dont know if he has any parts on it either. my best mph has been 97.2. got no traction that run, but ive got drag radials now. who would you put your money on?

99% chance he has exactly the same 350 I have in my Z28, which means you are gonna embarass him badly.

This 350 that I have (and he has) has no top end at all, its worse than even a TPI. Its done by 4500 rpm, PERIOD!

He will have 3.08 gears too.

You should put him to shame, unless your car is in bad tune or something. I built and installed a somewhat decent 350 (a bit better than stock), for a guy with a 79 vette a couple years ago.
The car was pretty quick, but I dont think it would beat you car.

My friend just bought a 1977 Vette and let me just say they make a nice cruising car! They are in no way a race car. I would put it mid to high 15s at best, so go out and beat him beadly! Another vote for you!
