95ish bronco?

This kid at my school started talking smack today, sayin his 95ish lookin bronco 351, lifted, with some big yokohama off road tires could toast me.. has 50$ "and a slip" riding on it. I've tried to find 1/4 mile times for them, but can't come up with anything... alot of people are saying they have alot of torque so they "feel" fast but aren't. But the cockyness in his voice... makes me doubt myself... anyone have any idea? Him talkin so cocky scares me... I know it's got the usual flowmaster exhaust from the looks of it, but who knows what else it could have...

Betting pink slips is the most retarded thing i've ever heard of. Think about it..but you should have little problem beating his bronco. That thing is huge. And if he has big off road tires I doubt he has a chance against you.

you should smoke him, even with your crappy gears. i raced my friends 95 bronco with a 351 and smoked the hell out of it. I remember he talked so much crap about how he could smoke me. i even lit 'em up through the intersection! i'd bet fifty, but not put up a slip. tell us how it ends up

Be careful if it is a short distance race. I race a friend that has a 79 Ford pickup with big tires a 429 big block with a C6 behind it. First race he put the transfer case in 4-Lo with out locking the hubs and kicked my **** for about 500 ft. Stop light to stop light he would have had me and my car isn't slow( see sig) We raced again and he left it in high range and it wasn't even close. If the kid with the Bronco runs low range and has an auto he might get you on a short run, say stoplight to stoplight. Race him in a full quarter though and you will whoop on him regardless.

Find out what size tires he has and what engine mods he has. If he hasn't changed the gears then those big tires will make his effective gear ratio quite high (numerically lower). I doubt he will even come close to beating you though.
