I hate The Box. You know, the place where you cannot seem to get away, the place where your car is snared in between a huge bus and a semi truck, stuck behind a smoke-spewing Volkswagon Microbus. I managed to get a Mustang GT into The Box, keeping my lead on him, all while not going much over the speed limit. Street races are fun, in their place, but it's so much more frustration to the loser if he can't even use his machine to it's limits - he's in The Box. I gave it a little gas when needed, in order to block his every attempt to escape the snare, but to no avail, I had the advantage, I could see the traffic better, I could act, he had to react. Reaction is no way to gain initiative. I'm not a Master of The Box, far from it, but I was able to keep a Mustang from tearing it up on the freeway by keeping him boxed in. WHen I let him go, he screamed out of there like a just-freed animal. Guess he didn't like The Box.

 

dude this is gonna get locked...nothing to do with street racing.....maybe if you should have chased after him and boxed him in again!

 

I think that Maveuver has everything to do with racing - where is my car - where is he at - how can I get my car so he can't get the edge - yeah, I never got more than fifteen over the limit, but I had JUST got over schooling someone, it's time to prove that power doens't mean much if you can't get a chance to use it. It's like racing at the speed limit. It's about how fast yu can get around the obstacles, not how fast you can go in a straight line. Jus my little defense, feel free to disagree.

 

I disagree. I think it's a p***y way out. That mustang might have smoked you and you were scared, so you blocked him in like a turd.

Ya Im gonna have to agree. It wasnt a race, and you didnt win. If its a race on a freeway. There is no cars in the way and if there are you move around them. Not be boxed in by them. But if he really wants to get mad he can go to the track where it has corners, and not just a str8 line 1/4 mile. My friend went to seekonk and he said sooo many big cars couldnt take the turns they would just spin out. Only a few true cars could do it as far as muscle.

 

the only cars i box in are those huge *** SUV's that tail you and try and make you move! even though your driving at 70 mph.

 

You know what would be worse..Making someone take an off ramp they didnt want to take. If someone was a ******* so much I would just do that instead. And believe me theres alot of stupid drivers out there.

 

Sometimes I just don't feel like slaying dragons...

SUV Box-ins are much more fun, though, I just felt like toying with the Mustang that day. And yes, I detest people that force me to either slam on the brakes or take an exit - happened a few times to me.

Was it a race? If you judge it strictly by speed, no. But I've seen more than a few NASCAR races and they talk about position a lot... Well, he sure kept trying to get ahead... Just didn't manage to get there until I let him go, then he opened up like it was NASCAR on H-2... I did make him look very impatient and stupid though. Like I said, feel free to disagree with me.
