2.8 vs. 2.4 '03 eclipse
i recently raced my freinds 2003 mitsubishi eclipse 5 speed, that has a $500 greddy cat back exhaust, $200 aem "intake" and all kinds of suspension stuff from eibach, kyb, and ground control, with my 1986 firebird (my winter car, so my trans am doesnt have to get trashed by north east weather and salt..) 5 speed that has a 2.8 with over 130k miles. i dumped the clutch around 2700 rpms and he pulled on me about a car length till mid second gear, once i hit around 4 thousand in second i pulled and conitunued to past the 1/4 mile mark.
gotta love those 20K$ jap craps that cant quite run with $800 v-6 f-bodies!

. But hey what do I know I will never take my car to a mechanic so I dont have to worry about a kid beating on it!
I think Eclipses are slow too.

Well turbo gsx's are fast. 95 gsx has something like a 14 sec 1/4 mile and without much can get alot faster. But as far as these eclipses go I think they went downhill since 95.
