3rd Gen Camaro vrs. 99 Bird

Alrite i have a 1990 v6 camaro rs (sadly a v6) automatic, and my friend has got a 99 firebird. Now i know hes pullin bout 50 more horses than me and he likes to talk a lot of garbage, but hes a little heavier i would say. You think this would be a pretty close race or should i juss let him talk till i get some more mods?

his car will run mid 15's in the quarter... sad to say, for you to keep up with him you're gonna have to get a cam, port and polish your heads, etc....

YOU DONT STAND A CHANCE! Sorry but a stock auto 305 cant beat a newer v6 bird and although your car weighs less he has you by an easy full second in the quarter. Sorry but it had to be said.

Hell if you're going to all that work, throw in a cam and port the heads, better yet, throw in a 350. Why are you using different rods? There will be no power gain there.

Still, with a .040 overbore and new rods, you still will get smoked. sorry

For that cost

You could buy a bottle and roast his ****!!! Heck, why go through that anyhow, you're not gonna gain much at all. If you want to beat him, race him for money with a 100 shot. You'd probably take him....maybe......
