you got this one

the best 350 offered in 73 in a regular NON SS Nova i beleive only made like 200 horses

the SS offered the 250 horse motor with the big 12 bolt rear and stuff

but a Nova is no laughing matter. They are light and you can cram pretty much anything under the hood

my dads 71 SS (Yes Real SS) ran 14.50s all bone stock

350-275 horses,auto,and the factory 12 bolt 3.73 positraction rear

Stock 350? Posi rear? and a 4 speed right?

If he has a peg leg, and stock size radials...and the stock 200 horse 350, the little 305 will dust him pretty badly...

mild 350, with a posi...with some decent tires, the nova will take you

Only one way to find out...

Race safe

Nova hands down. They're lighter than 3rd gens and chances are it's not 100% stock.

The nova has like 30 more hp and tq , is lighter, and probably has better gears because its a manual so Yeah I give it to the nova. He is probably running mid 15's while your probably running low 16's. Only one way to really find out though.

Hehehe, my '79 T/A is "stock" too. At least that's what I say!!!

That 350 probably has had some work done to it over the last 30+ years.
