me vs 96 cavalier z24????

okay, i just got my car back, its a 82 z by the way. Blew up the old engine, put in an l69. Edelbrock 600 cfm, performer intake, lt4 hot cam, accel dist and plug wires, flowtech exhaust to straight pipes.

this kid i work with thinks it slow as hell, and it is fairly slow, but he thinks his friend in a cavalier will beat me. This this has 150 hp stock but this kid has intake, header, and cat-back.

am i trippin or will i blow his doors off???

z-24 = low low 16's...possibly 15.9 with a 5 speed.

You will win. My roomate had one before he got his SS (98 Z24) and he could not beat me in my stock LO3. He could hang on highway rolls but from a dig he was toast.

Ive never heard of one losing to a stock L03 but I think youll win. A guy that works at the pep boys by my house runs a 15.5 in his late 90's z24 with a cat back and CAI so I think your friend probably runs about the same.

Those 2.4 Z24's are really torquey little cars, but I still think that you've got this one, good luck!!!
