Beat a Stang

Had a *** race the other night, hit the light next to an S-10 that was revving at me, so I opened em up and shot him some back. Just as I revved at the truck guy I hear ANOTHER rev from the opposite side, it was a fox body stang convertible. The light hit, they took off, I was behind by a bit then I caught up and passed them. Didn't think the car could do it, that stang must have been running like garbage (though the truck was nice, lowered with some 17's and good exhausty note (4.3?)).

dunno

I was trapping between 85-87 on the G-tech thingy. Usually 16.4-16.7. WIth that trap and those times, somthing don't add up. I'll be at the 1/8 mile tommorrow and see how things REALLY are.

Gtechs mph high, figure about 4 mph less on average. That Mustang was running bad or not racing!

I could see an auto vert stang running like a 16.0 at worst I have seen some auto fox bodies run some pretty crappy times either way he would have had to been running like crap for you to beat him. Oh and I think that the Gtech measures mph differently than the track. Nice kills.

I know, I had one and it ran low 15s at 1200' elevation with 2.73 gears, it wasnt a vert but I dont see over a second difference because of maybe 100-150 pounds of weight! Musta have been running like crap in me eyes!
