'03-'04 WRX...how fast?

Anyone shoot me an idea on how fast one of these cars is? My g/f's bro has one, turbo, etc. Just curious if he wants to race me what kind of probs I'll have with him. Time is in sig. Please don't criticize my times, car is only half done.

You will be fine with that ET. If he can launch the car like it is capable of he will destroy you off the line. It is hard to out-launch one of those boosted AWD cars. However, all that parasitic drivetrain loss will allow you to catch up to him pretty quick. You advantage is to go from a roll (no angy posts on racing from a roll) rather than a shot burst from light to light. You shouldn't sweat this one.

Don't stock SRT-4's run in the mid-low 14's?? I know the STi's and Evo's run 13's stock but I think the Dodges run similar times to the WRX.

They do. For every SRT4 that runs a 13.5 there are 14,000 others that suddenly run the same time after reading a post talking about ET's. They are slightly slower than a stock LT1 M6's.

I saw an SRT-4 run 13.30's so far, not sure what's done though. As for the WRX, g/f said he hasn't learned how to launch it yet . Anyway, she says low 15's currently...

A buddy of mine who is also on these boards had an 01 wrx. He had an up pipe, downpipe, and full exhaust. Car whooped on an LT1 fiero, 00trans am with long tubes, ported TB, GMMG cat back, lid, and some suspension mods, vtec swap turbo integra that supposedly ran 12's, 89 mustang gt with pulleys, exhaust, cold air intake, and 373's, and I am sure it would have whooped on a lot more if he kept it longer. I guess what I am saying is if the car has the right driver it is pretty dangerous.

If you want to call the BS flag I got videos to show it all too. In fact does anyone want to host them?

I wouldn't call it BS, i'd call the other drivers crap drivers. These **** rockets are even that big of a threat my cousins 00 trans am with the LS1 manifold took a EVO from a light by a car length up to 75mph and my bud at work with a 87 5.0 with a few mods was out with us and he was able to stay neck and neck.

Well i'm the guy who had the WRX..I had about $1100 invested into performance and the car was running with 12 second cars all day long on the street. The other drivers weren't crap drivers either,I was just alot better A little weight reduction+great driving and the right tune goes a long way with WRX's.
