yeah, those vids are cool. its fun to see the people go back and forth comparing their cars on the message boards too. They are all get heated in debating 4 bangers to banging 8's. Pretty good place to research the capabilities of the cars you might run against.

The car in the video was not mine, nor do I know who it is.

Your talking about my car? Its quick but aint fast. 14.02 is my best run out of my only 2 I ran. I manually shifted cuz tranny is shifting at around 3900 rpm, alittle short. I shifted at 4500.

That was with all the mods in the sig above. Yes, the 2800 stall is incredible and the shift kit feels great, The stall helped the most.. Its shifts are smooth but quick. I want to get it adjusted so it feels really firm. The catback was my first mod for that sound i like. the headers were next. After both, it was a definate improvement, but nowhere near the feeling of the converter.

looks like the ls1 didn't really jump on it though, and we all know the l98 has more torque down low than an ls1, but come 4th gear just watch him fly by you

He was on it hard. The red Z28 is a buddy of mine and the white 91 Z28 is my car. I had him by atleast 2 cars at the finish.

Could you post up some mods of both cars? That 91 launched like nobody's business. I'd like to get my car like that one..

Actually my car was different than it is now. I was running a NX kit when I raced the LS1 that night. My motor was completely stock except for a few boltons like exhaust and runners. I was running Nitto drag radials and Spohn LCAs other than that completely stock suspension. The red Z28 had If I remember correctly an Slp catback, aftermarket lid, and 5.0 short shifter. I know it had a few more things but I can't remember.
Right now I'm running as fast all motor as I was when I was spraying. I like to keep the sleeper look with the factory chrome rims and black bra.
