Honda vs me
I was at a stoplight on my way out for a real drag race, and a friend of mine pulled up next to me in a civic. It isn't stock but not highly modded either. His only real power builder is "Squeeze". So the light turns green, and I take off sorta hard, and he takes off a little harder, so I get into the gas a little more. I am just into the secondaries in carb, only giving it enough gas to stay ahead. I shift to second ( at about 5500, I usually shift at 6900) and just give it enough to stay ahead. He has a look on his face like he can't believe he is keepin up with me, so I punch it and my tires start spinning. I slowed so he could catch up, and the look on his face was PRICELESS.

Sorry guys, I was at work. He has a 75 shot, but he didn't use it. I call it "Squeeze" because I hate hate hate hate it when people call it "NAWS". It drives me nucking futs. It was cool that we got to race a bit though, because the drag I was on my way out to (Against a 70-something nova) didn't happen because too many people followed us out. What happens when 15 loud cars head out of the cruise strip all at once??? The five-o follows.

I really don't think his car would have a chance against mine even with the juice. Not enough horsepower, and his car doesn't even hook as good as mine. Granted he weighs a lot less, I probably have almost twice his HP even on bottle.
According to Dyno 2000(not sure how accurate)my engine makes 509 at 6500. It makes over 400 from 4700 to 7000. That is why I shift at 6900 or so.

Realistically, prob only about 450-475 fwhp. I don't think Dyno 2000 is as accurate as I would like it to be. It doesn't let you factor in rod length, air temp or elevation. It doesn't even let you put in real flow numbers for benched heads.

I have never checked static compression. (PSI) I think the ratio is about 10.25:1, but I am not sure. 64cc head with flat tops 4 valve reliefs. I think that is similar to say----78 corvette. Should be somewhere around 10:1.

doh
When I saw the heads on ebay brand new assembled for under 800, I just ordered them without thinking. I talked to a few people later, and they were like "Holy Crap, they are how big????" So I didn't realize how big they were until they were on the way. I decided to put them on anyway, they work well, but you really have to rev it to get the power. I plan on building a 406 later, so they will be good when that time rolls around.
