1 for 1

I was just about to leave my friend's house when he had the idea to race my other friend in his 5-speed 92 Subaru Legacy. I thought it would bring pretty good competition. So we lined up on his road. My friend signals up to go. We both mash it. He spins a little while my tires just chirp. In 1st gear i gained about 2 car lengths while eventually getting 3 lengths through 3rd. I decided to shut down at 60 cuz the speed limit was 25 and there was a car parked in the street ahead.( Plus he would get me on the top end.) So my first race was a good success.

Were you racing in the snow? Because Legacys are AWD and he wouldn't be spinning anything.

That car doesn't have enough power, sorry, I just don't see it happening. My buddy would do huge clutch drops in his EVO at the track and be surprised if it chirpped. You probably just heard your own tires spinning.

His car is FWD. FWD was standard on those cars. They had an option of permanently engaged AWD. He did rev it pretty high. It started to drizzle when we started so that probably accounted for him spinning.

Hmmm, it must have been a little later that they decided to make all their cars AWD. I guess the Justy was only FWD, so it's believeable.
