I took the S/E out for a spin today and what do you know,I see a ****(98ish eclipse ) weaving in an out of the traffic and thinking hes all that.Anyways,farther down the road where its more deserted by the way,we both roll up to the same red light.Judging BTW I saw him driving before I figuered he would wanna race right?So before the light hits green we both give eachother the Im gonna smoke you look and some revs.When it hit green I gunned it and he just chilled Why didnt he race?here are the mods from just lookin at his car,5 inch pipe tip,a 3 foot spoiler,and am assuming intake mods.So who woulda won if he raced?

1) It is a pointless poll; how the hell would we know why he didn't race?

He probably knew the dangers of street racing and or didn't feel safe to race where you were. Maybe he didn't want to waste the gas.

 

haha....i think he was scared he was going to lose, he was afraid of racing because of his lack in driving capabilities, he didnt wana waste gas, AND his car was a show car..? that could workout couldnt it?

Most of todays cars can outrun a 16 second car. So don't plan too many victory parties.

If you want an answer, he probably would have beaten you. An 82 LG4 is, at best, a mid 16 second car. Typical economy four bangers are able to outrun that engine in this day and age. Is that what you were looking for?

Frankly, the reason I replied to your thread was because you made yourself out to be more of a ***** than your competition. You call him a *****, yet your mentality suggests that you would just as eagerly race your LG4 (remember, your 16-second V8 powerhouse ) on obviously busy road. Isn't a ***** someone who has a car that isn't all that fast, but still acts like his car is the fastest thing on the road? At least I thought that's what most people consider ricers...

There was more info in the camery thread. We knew what was invloved with both parties. You don't know anything about that eclipse. How can we talk about a car when we have no idea what mods it has or anything about it?

I am sorry you feel this way but I am having to explain to myself why it is blatenly obvious why a thread like this is going no where. The thread you bring up in defense of yourself all have more info from willing parties who actually raced. It is bandwidth clutter. Everyone could post a story of a car they pulled against that they tried to race but didn't. No one cares. Threads like this always get the typical repsonses from people. Such as "Man watch out those DSM's are fast". To which another idiot replys "Man DSM's suck and break all the time you will beat him". The flames then go on from there and the thread collapses. The ambiguous nature of your first post opens you up to a barrage of attacks from people. Don't worry you will pick up on it the more and more you read the threads on TGO. In a couple of months you will see what I mean.

I had an SN95 Cobra convertible rev'ing at my '96 Beretta daily driver the other day because it's got racing stripes and a fart can muffler. I just drive it because it's good on gas and it was cheap. It's crawlin'.

I believe that with some tuning and tweaking, and a really good driver like 82knightrider, he could launch it like no other!. Plus, it's got LG4 HP.

The Beretta went 14.80s on a 75 shot spraying it at the 60' mark.

 

I never have takin my bird to the track ,so I dont know.Its all stock,has new tires,all new filters and fluids,2.73 gears I think,and a k/n air filter.My 3 speed auto has no problems shifting.
If you were in SoCal or if I was around where you live I would love to find out what my bird can do against your beretta.Wasnt the Bereta a pace car in 1990 or something like that?If it was thats pretty cool
