Got whupped.

I was cruising along and I spotted an import, a 3000gt i believe with twin-fart cans. I was just messing around with him a little bit, trying to get a feel for how fast it might be. He was behind me and I saw him swing wide as he went to pass me. I stomped on it, of course, but he blew right by me without a problem. I asked him what he was running and he said it was the 3.0 with a turbo. It was a pretty quick car, the fastest one Ive messed around with yet. I have a GMPP 350 HO, rebuild 700r4 with shift kit, headers w/3in exhaust, and 3.23 gears, and the car moves pretty decent. Just goes to show that there is always someone faster!

We were both at about 55mph when we were messing around, I imagine if we both went from a stop, I would have pulled away, and then he would proceed to show me his license plate and tail lights. I havnt taken my car to the track yet, but I imagine Im running somewhere between mid to low 13's. Honestly dont know for sure. My car is much faster then the rest of my friends 3rd gens, a few mustangs around town, etc.

The 3kgt are great off the line because they are all wheel drive there decent in second dogs in third.

Race them from a slow role like 5-10 mph they don’t have boost yet and you don’t have traction issues.

It doesn't take much to get started at 5-10 mph, especially with the tiny *** turbos they come stock with. Now a single turbo Supra would be a different story all together.

I went to the track with some of my friends with Talons, one ended up racing a 2000 SS, kid said it was a police package, anyway, the Talon spanked it, Some of those ricers are mean, just have to know whats done to it, but he was running 11's

Yeah, up until about 4500-RPM though, then he would fly right by you. Install a HSR, then ask him for a rematch...

Edit: If you're still running the stock TPI system, that is.

I doubt it, i bet it would beat you off the line too. with that small of a turbo and all wheel drive. but up top you might have him being that the awd will be sucking up the power right about there.

Is this in response to me?

If so, why not edit you're sig then... as it'd be easy to adapt you're stock 305's Tuned Port Injection to you're current "GMPP 350 HO".

I don't know much about that car, and I know less about yours. I could find out for you I guess though.

I would run him off the line. You need to launch those boys pretty high to get a good launch on you. I think if you can get him out of the hole, you got the race.

I dont. My car origianlly ran low 14s before the engine was pulled. Mikes car is much faster pulls a lot harder and it still hooks up somehow. I give it a seal of approval. That thing screams.

Well mike i guess u need to prove it now! take er out to the track when she opens in a few weeks.
