i have an LG4 like you, and i dont think that i could and i did alot of "bolt-ons"

 

The new Eclipses are horribly slow, but a four second head start is still a lot.

 

What year eclipse was it? THe newer one with V6 Seem pretty damn quick to me

 

no they're dogs. the only ones worth even talking about is the awd turbo eclipse ( i forget the model designation) other than that they're nothing to worry about.

 

Well i guess it just depends on our definition of fast. I saw one at the track running consistent 15.2's. Thats not real fast but for what it is i guess its all right

 

Yeah, that's the GSX model. I raced it's sister model (Talon TSI) a few years back at the track, and the guy pretty much smoked me. But this is when I was running the stock L98, while he laid down an eleven second flat ET...

Pretty impressive, nonetheless.

 

yea.. i head new elcipses are pretty slow, i wasnt all that impressed, but i also heard they run 15.1 stock

 

yep and an lg4 runs 16s

 

i think its alot quicker then 16s.. ill have to take it to the track, or get a G-Tech.

well lets see.. first off, i think they replaced the engine with a truck engine, so itl have more torque, and i got a Summit racing Phenolic carb spacer, and a Accel Hi-Output super coil, to give me fire all the way up to 8,000 which will never happen, but it sounds nice, and i just bolted on a Edelbrock Performer Intake two days ago. But it seems pretty fast to me.. accelerates nice!

 

By the way, why in the world would you be parting out an 89-TTA? You better have a valid explanation for this one, Mr.!

lol, anyways.. im thinking about doing a LS1 swap, but i think itl be a little expensive, but it sure would be nice. prolly abot 5 grand. Usually you can find a LS1 and a T56 for about 2800-3200, plus all the custum parts you woudl need, prolly around 5 grand, but man that would be nice!!!

 

Yea well thats quicker than any stock LO3 or LB9 auto.

oh uh no its a 383. It looks tough as hell. havent got the engine back yet so not too sure on that. I gotta hog out the plenum anyways. The 210s are a little big for it.

 

I still say 3rdgens outclass 4thgens. I think they look better, handle better and have more personality. The deciding factor for me was the LS1, hands down.

I want another thirdgen and it WILL eventually be LSx powered

yea i really like 3rd gens. yea i think it would be a baddd car... but i dont really have the cash to do it but im just gonna have to do it step by step. Well im gonna go to sleep, and dream of my LS1 powered camaro.. nite guys!

I personaly drove a 2004 Eclipse GT Spider.....the pickup was outragously slow compaired to my Camaro....you floor it and you just wait for the damn pull....now sure it picks up but id take the G's in my camaro over that Eclipse any day.

 

Nah, the GTA is nothing more really. Got hit a few times and it's just not worth putting money into.
