Fast as it should be?

I know some of U guys have these computer programs that U can enter all the info about a car and it gives a readout of what U should be running in a 1/4 mile--rpm's--torque--ETC. Could one of U put my info in and see what I should be running--I am real curious about whether my stuff (such as it is at the moment) is living up to it's full potenal.Let me know if U need any other info!

Thanks in advance!

heres my take on the situation... 700r4 with 4.10s is alot of gear. first will flash by very quickly. although miniram loves high rpms, that cam and i assume your heads wont provide the flow needed to support the mini up to the needed rpms. i would think a bigger cam and better flowing heads would provide a higher powerband suitable for those gears.

either way the car should be making enough power to go mid 13's to low 13's if you have the suspension. trap speeds probly in the 100-104mph range. those gears might actually be hurting your performance tho. i think 3.73's is all higher i would run but i am not 100% sure.

edit... i dont see a torque converter. a good 2600-2800 stall would really open things up on launch.

Well I am running best (before I got new chip last weekend) time of 8.56 and several 8.59's in the 1/8th--using the 1.56 multiplication factor for a 1/4 that shows 13.3's/13.4's.

Yes, I agree that heads and more cam (coming--probably AFR 195's ???--raw casting and let my machine shop set them up!) would be better.

Right now I'm trapping at about 5200/5300 in a 1/4 (shifting at 5800 to 6000 for 1-2 and about 5700/5800 for 2/3

The TC is not listed (my mistake sorry) it's a TCI, that was in the car from previous owner--it is a very mild one--TCI said about 2000/2200.

Mainly I was interested in, if what I have now, was doing it's job or if I was leaving anything on the table. It sounds like your estimates are based on experiance (which I have more faith in since i am old school OR like some people say--JUST OLD--53), but I was just wondering what one of the computer programs like I described says I should be running.

Thanks for your response/input!

Craig

8.56's arent too bad at all for that. thats low 13's like you said. Whats your trap speed mph in the 1/8? that could tell alittle on how much power you got and if your using it all. also, whats your 60 foot times? get them as low as you can get them and it will ring out the quickest ET's possible from your combo.

i am not too familar with 1/8 mile times and trap speeds, but i am doing 8.80s at 77mph and finishing the 1/4 in the 13.8's at 96.6mph so far. only ran her 4 times so i got more to get out of it for sure. my 60 foots are in the high 1.8's on street tires so thats why i am in the 13's but trapping only 96mph.
