Help to settle a dispute....

My brother has a 03 Suburu WRX, my friend a 98 Mustang GT, and I a 91 RS 9they are both 5 spd and im auto). they both say that they would wipe the floor with me, and my bro says he could beat the mustang, and my frind says her could beat the suburu.

What would my chances be of keeping up with them? my RS is the LO3 and i have a 3'' cat and catback and they are both stock.

I have a feeling that i would loose, but who would win between the mustang and the wrx (assuming equal driving ability on a 5spd)?

Thanks for the help

the scooby should win this one.... the L03 might hang for a second or two, but the rex will pull hard after that..

the stang might be closer to you but still should pull well

An LO3 should have no problem against a pre-05 V6 Stang...I wiped the lfoor with them frequently in my nearly stock Auto car.

The GT is a low 15's car...you're high 15's.

A regular WRX runs a low 14....a WRX STi runs a mid to low 13.

you'll be the tail on this race.

the pre 96-97 mustangs before the slight body change where around 15 sec the newer style gt's are low 14's and those stock v6 stangs around that same year are in the mid 15's and l03s go from mid 15's to 17s stock most ive seen couldnt crack into 15's if they tryed

the wrx wins unless the gt were modded, most of us have hard times with rexs, the RS will get it on the launch until he hits 3000, rpm then your toast

add 100shot NOS, which a 305 should take (happily) will tip the scales on that one!

Get yourself a 350 and build it slow, just like am doing, and get some NOS, nos the 305 untill it blows, but 100 shot should hold. Than put in the 350, and nos that as well.
If you do it progressively like start with a 50 shot than 75 than 100 you will have no problems. I've seen 200k+ lo3's take 100 shots over and over and over. Especially on this board.
