I was out driving the other day when this dressed up hemi ram drives up beside me. It has all kinds of harley davidson decals all over it with huge dual exhaust wich sounded so good by the way! When he saw my car he immediately started reving and taunting me like a goof! So we catch a light so I figured I'd show him my colors. Light goes green, I roll into softly but hard enough to jump 2 car lengths right away. I had to shut it down early being that we were on a street. It was obvious that it was going to get ugly. Nobody respects third gens, its like they think we're easy prey? Of course he did the famous speeding drive by after a loss.

 

HAHAHAHA! Yeah, very few people respect third gens, and even fewer expect them to have an LT1 from a 4th gen. Nice kill. Woke him up I bet.

^ they are supposively making a 6.1 hemi with 400 hp or so for the charger. i wonder if they will put that in the ram? that shoudl run decent

I have a Hemi RC SB 2wd RAM.....my old truck beat my buddies '96 Mustang GT 5sp on the HWY....I've had my truck to the strip it ran 15.4 at 89mph....thats 305 auto 3rd gen territory...he prolly thought you had the little 305......thats one reason why I love my POS (the Z)...it gets ZERO respect .......

I wouldn't say they are all something to laugh at. I've seen and worked on some quick Rams. Though you'd probably know he's not stock when you hear the incredibly loud blower whine.

Another Ram would be the SRT-10. Not sure how they run, but they have the exact same 8.3L V10 that the Viper SRT-10 has. 500HP, 525ft-lb or something?

 

^ they run well. low 13's and i have heard of a 12.9 out of them if launched right. they are LS1 terroritory

 

The srt-8 charger will be 425 hp. The are also coming out with a srt-8 grand cherokee with 415 hp....I read the jeep is supposed to be a sub 5 second 0-60 time. I work at a Chrysler dealer, so Ill get to drive one when we get it. Pretty fast for an SUV..lol

 

I once saw the HEMI badge on a early fourth gen Trans Am. I'm not sure if the guy was ignorant, or if it was supposed to be a joke. When the light turne red, I was right behind him, and my friend jumped out of the car with his camera phone and took a picture of it, then jumped back in. The guy in the TA was laughing.

 

These pull hard too! Very nice sounding from inside, havent heard it WOT from the outside though. Again, very nice truck! Seats are comfy.
