Cutlass pulling wheelies?
I met a guy the other day in a ragged out BS setup car (84-86 Cutlass). Had tires (which were some off brand) sticking 4 inches outside his fender well because he didn't buy rims with the correct backspacing. Had a 383 stroker with a 950 cfm carb with some rusty old longtubes. He claims to have a th350 with a 5000 stall with a 3.08 rearend...... Says he turned out 672 rear wheel torque @ 8500 rpm and 625hp (on pumped gas). Also claims his car weighs 3250 lbs with interior and him in it (he weighs 250) and that he pulls 3.5 foot wheelies on the street.
He started the car for me and gave it a few revs and it by noooooo means sounded radical. Radical being a car that revs to 8500 and would have to idle around 1500.
To me this sounds like alot of
to me but the guy also claims he runs 11s in the 1/4 at morroco with NO ROLLCAGE.
Everybody tell me what you think? He says he is selling the car for $6000

It would sound something similar to "lope lope looooope lope lope looooope lope..."
To push that much power N/A in a 383, the car usually isn't all that streetable. But that much power COULD lift the tires and could very easily run 11s.
I think he's full of ****.

It doesn't take alot of power to lift the wheels, just lots of suspension, gearing and tires. But I doubt he's pushing that hp/tq that he claims.

If I had a nickel for every "claim" I've heard over the last 24 years, I'd be a rich man now
