u gotta read this one...

So i'm heading home at around 11:00 and i see a car get right on my tail. I'm driving the speed limit and a 1990ish ford tempo flies past me. So i follow him up to the next stop sign and he just hammers it, i stop at the stop sign and then tromp on it. I flew past him and after alittle while i let off the gas. And of course he did the loser fly by...I know its nothing to brag about but it was funny. Good kill, huh.

Today a civic kept trying to play with me. I figure another stock civic with a cannon thinking he's fast. Then he got next to me, got on it and let off, and what did I hear? "Spshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh". We didn't get any runs in though.

Not sure if it was one of these but believe it or not Mercury dropped an ohv V6 3.0 / 182ci 130-135hp 150 tq engine into their early '90's Topaz model (very similair to the Tempo). It was the same motor Ford used in the bigger and sluggish Taurus and Mercury Sable autos. But when this engine was dropped into the lighter 2 door little brother (curb weight 2541 lbs) with a 5 spd manual it made for an impressively quick little ride. The 1/4 mile was clocked at @ 15.9 (stock) with a 7 sec 0-60 run. A few hot-rodding tricks to this little runner would give your car a good run (maybe even out-do you).

Unless he's only running like 5.5 psi of boost or something.

There are a couple really fast Civics in the area if you waste your time reading the local board. They love to film their kills and post them without the license plates blurred out too

My old boss had a topaz that was stick and 2 door. Awesome car to drive. Ran like a pos but man, fun to slam gears in something like that. I miss my chevette...

Yup Ford also made them with a gutless 2.3 5 spd 4 banger too. I remember a buddy had a chevette that would burn a liter of oil a day, thing would never die though hehe.

Yea, the one I was talking about happens to be on that board. You see the video of the Nova racing the Civic?

Eh, I almost think it's a coin flip. At the track here it seems the turbo charged imports either run 15's or 12's

Yea, it's about time a vid gets posted of him losing. I wonder if he has his car back together yet... He sure is full of himself to put it nicely. I don't read the barf anymore because of kids like that. Him and his hangers on go out of their way to try to pretend like any losses were 'planned to shut the domestic losers up' or something

I haven't seen the vids. Anyone got a link to the stuff?

I take it the Nova gave the civic a beating?

I raced a Semi trailoring two big trailors today. He had one of those new isuzu semis that has like 1500 ft-lbs of TQ and 500 HP. Figured it would be a good race.

We got up on the on-ramp and I hammered it down, spun some, then hooked up. I came flying past him so fast. What a loser. Guess his semi isn't as fast as he thought it was. I think I saw some stickers and a wing too. And he was even boosted.. Guess that proves that imports with boost can't hang.

That's what you get when you post a kill about a tempo.

I heard that when you slowed down to take your exit he flew passed you in the middle lane. At least he didn't flash his hazards at you.

I have seen a few "tweaked" tempos in my day. They were all nothing short of laughable.
