Best I've ever seen was a 14.3 with slicks and a wicked hard clutch dump. At sea level. dude could drive too. It had a couple bolt-ons.

He seriously dumped the clutch at about 5.5k

5.5k is a mild clutch dump for that car. But at the same time it's about as high as you want to go if you don't thouroughly enjoy replacing parts on brand new cars.

I'd have to see it to believe it. And also remember that in order to get them anywhere in the quarter you have to dump the clutch HARD (like stu said, 5.5 is mild, I think they redline at like 8k or somethin ??) and most people won't do that. Certainly not on the street.

They redline at 8,900 rpm, and a LOT of people will do that, it's a Honda, that's what they are known for. My mechanic ran a low 15 with his up at this altitude. The only Honda I've ever owned that I didn't redline at least 10 times a day is the one I have now. I never had a problem with them either. They are built to make power up there and to be redlined like that often.

You'll have to go back in time, and to Disney World, and ask my ex-girlfriend. I bet she'd let you wear it.

I meant most people won't dump them like that on the street, or at all. Most people that can afford those don't like to break them. Besides, street tires + street + big clutch dump = spiiiiin city.

I know people will redline them... I'd probably be bouncing a honda off the rev limiter going to the grocery store. Maybe it's a good thing I don't own one haha

this thing was quick though it coulda possibly been modded. we'll never know. and i have performer heads. i wouldve loved to be by my self and been able to grab traction. i think i woulda got him easy. but i seriously got NO traction when we launched, but on the freeway i think i coulda thrown it into 3rd but i woulda had to shift back up to 4th pretty quick. no clue! but i was constantly pulling on the race on the freeway.

I bet if you got a cam that stalls to 2500 or so and a convertor to match you'll really be bringing the pain then! I'm going to try one of those Voodoo cams sometime next year you should consider them too. Unless you have money for a roller setup which is always better.

Sorry I just assumed you had a auto Anyway a bigger cam wouldn't hurt you at all. I know yours make good power but it still seems a little tamed.

I have to say the 327 feels pretty strong! A lot stronger than a stock TPI 350 or even a stock LT1( I've driven both) but right now I'm still breaking it in, I just got my pro tranny in I might put it end this week if I have time. Besides that all I have to do is paint it an take it to the track!

A 2500 works great for the track you know like dumping a clucth with a manual.

cams don't "stall" but they do have powerbands in which they're more effective.

A 2500 stall is a very small stall, and will only foot brake/flash stall to about 2k. I'd personally go with a 3000-3500.

friend of mine put a Vortech supercharger on his S2k. Never raced it before that, but he went into the high 13s a few times with the supercharger. His biggest problem was launching. He had to dump it at 5k and then it would just squeal the tires.

But he was getting consistent 120mph trap speeds; if raced from a roll, these cars are wicked fast.

120mph traps? Well that's only good for a high 10 or low 11 second pass.
