Yeah, it was ugly, for her. She was riding my bumper (as if sixty-five was slow) and then she whipped over to pass me. No sir, I'm not having any of that, although in hindsight I should've let her in-a-hurry-behind around so she could trade paint with somebody else. LC2's rock, boost rocks, and seeing what was coming rocks. She didn't pass me, but she sure tried to, from the wailing sound her car suddenly made in an effort to do so. I think I got up to around 3000 RPM's, stayed there for a bit, closed the gaps in traffic, and she was stuck behind me for a time. She tried this two more times, and each and every time, From seventy-plus miles an hour, it was no contest. (Yeah, racing from a roll is stupid, but those were the conditions at the time.)
I finally got tired of her riding my bumper and let her go whizzing by, but she dind't gove me stinkeye or anything. Then the Saturn idiot tailgating her whizzed by me... Who knows, I might have been interering with a four-banger on-road rally championship or something.
If only my car wasn't so butt-ugly... (dirt and missing emblems)

Sounds like you were just being a dick head to me. If you were only doing 65, then you must not have been in much of a hurry. Get the hell over so other people can get on their way.

Tomorrow on the way to work, if someone tries to pass me on any street, I'm going to ram their car into a ditch, just for fun.
Oh wait, no I'm not, I'm an adult and it doesn't bother me when someone else wants to go faster than I do.

gotta agree with stu and the guys here. it is the PASSING LANE and NOT the being passed lane.
also for you eco nuts out there....look how much gas we could save it we didn't have to slow down and the speed back up every time we run up on some rude person's bumper in the left lane.
as for blinkers....my favorites are the ones who.....
slam on brakes and THEN hit the blinker as they are turing the steering wheel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hawaii is wierd in that it doesn't have an official "Left lane is the fast lane" sort of thing. People assume that it does, but I can't find it written anywhere, except a sign on H-2 that's only good for a mile, and it reads "Express lane, limited visibility". Normally, you find people going fast int he right lane, as much as anywhere. Did I forget to mention that the posted limit pretty much everywhere is only 55? It's a whopping sixty in only two small stretches of road. Mainland driving was a refreshing change whien I visited my folks in Oregon, people know how to use their turn signals, not cutting people off, proper use of hi-beams, and pretty much every exterior bulb worked, and was properly used. Oh, and realistic speed limits.
Yeah, I was sort of a jerk, but when I look in my rearview mirror and there's nothing but front grille and windshield (where there hadn't been five seconds ago), and they slam their car over to get around me, without using their signal, well, I let the evil out to play for a bit.
Normally, I'm much more reserved in my driving habits, really, but I have little patience for tailgaters who don't use their signals.
Stu, no insult taken.

Try growing up on Maui where there is no such thing as a highway, only two lane roads on the pali with tourist mustangs parked to take a picture of the view, on blind corners in the middle of the road.
I truly love mainland roads. real honest roads.

I highly doubt she was trying to race. Just aggravated that you weren't in as much of a hurry as she was. Granted she may have been at WOT and you were faster than her, but a 305 car wouldn't have much trouble with a Sentra, let alone an LC2. If its an SE-R, then a 350 may be needed (or a not stock 305), but either way, she was just driving her merry way and trying to get around someone going slower than her.
I don't understand people on here when I see them say someone tried to pass them and they sped up so they couldn't. As stated, that's impeding traffic and just as illegal as speeding. If someone wants to get around you, its more than likely for good reason (i.e. they want to get somewhere faster than you want to...why prevent them from getting over when you're in no hurry?)

She was riding his *** because she wanted to get around him. Like I said, it doesn't sound like she intended to race him at all. It is senseless for someone who is happy to be going slower than other people to intentionally speed up to not allow someone around them.

I hate tailgaters, as much as I hate people going slow in the left lane. I have people who dont make it easier for you to merge when they clearly can, as much as people who force their way into your lane!

You almost got me convinced all of you are good drivers
What makes a good driver anyway? no tickets/accidents?
Because if thats true iam the best driver here
Hot92z<======NO TICKETS OR ACCIDENTS and I have been pulled over 3 times in my life for stuff that had nothing to do with my driving.
1)random check leaving school cuz of dumb **** friends did
2)friend of mine left my license plate down on my rear hatch
3)random check cuz i was driving around town at 3 in the morning
Now stop your bitching the world is full of people that do things in ways you dont like or agree with including driving habits so deal with it.

Here's how it is for me:
I generally drive 90MPH everywhere unless I'm tired, in which case I wonder why I'm getting tailgated until I look down to see myself going 55MPH.
My general rules for road behaviour are:
1.) You WILL NOT get in my unless I see a turn signal.
2.) I will change lanes if I'm being tailgated and going the speed limit.
3.) If I'm going 10+MPH over the speed limit and you still tailgate me, I may lock up my brakes at any random point in time.
I've driven all over the place and it seems that there are asses everywhere, but people down here in Florida seem to be the worst. I mean, it's bad driving almost everywhere, but the rationale varies from locale to locale. Chicago is hard to drive because the roads are so narrow; New York because of the number of cars on the road -- every place has it's reason for bad driving. Overall, it's hard to drive in Florida because people lack the ABILITY to drive. The roads demonstrate beautiful engineering; just people down here are asses. NO ONE down here even seems to realize the difference between a flashing yellow light and a stop sign. They are most definitely not the same thing.
Oh, and fly89gta, I laugh every time I see the pic in your sig!

I spent a lot of my time driving, in most of the northeast, and have drivers narrowed down by state, and even drive differently in different states! I have MA, NY, NH, CT, NJ, RI, and PA all figured out, and will change habits in each area to make my driving easier!
I have bad road rage, but would never act stupid because of it!
Also been pulled over 1 time:
Doing 68 in a 65 on the MA pike. Needless to say I got a $50 ticket that got dropped in court! Moral of that story, dont pass a line of slower moving cars, in MA, if you drive a Musatng with CT plates!

In my experiences MD drivers are THE worst. They're complete retards...followed by PA drivers. NJ driver's have a bad rep but we're just agressive.
MD drivers will do 10 mph under the speed limit in the fast lane...turn signals are optional and for some reason they think they can talk on a cell phone, drink coffee and drive at the same time....douche bags.

at this thread!!! At 35, I've seen my fair share of tickets. All for speeding. No accidents, knock on wood! I have to laugh at people who say they don't speed. Same goes for those who want to decide what MPH over is OK, lol. I mean, come on, you're posting in a Theoretical and Street Racing forum.

Thats such a great video...
Besides the point, I am from MD, and of all places, Montgomery County, where all the blonde rich women drive enourmous SUV's while doing their makeup, drinking coffee, talking on the phone, etc at the same time. it really has turned me into an *** of a driver though. when i see a women in an SUV on her cell doing her nails with her bumper about an inch from mine i keep speeding up (one lane road) I hit 60 in a 40, and being a teen in a loud camaro...no way in hell. she really pissed me off, cause i see this crap all day and accidents everywhere in mercedes and beamers etc and ppl are just like o well ill buy another. even my school parking lot is all mercedes, beamer, audi, etc. anyhow, i slow down to the speed limit, because its the SPEED...LIMIT. anyway she gets all pissy and i can see her hitting the steeering wheel and crap with her nails pointed up and everything, and we finally reach a stretch. she gets next to me in her stupid extended pearl white escalade, which by the way is empty, its all a status icon, and i just gun it and force her to get back in behind me. it just pissed me off too much. i went about 10 over from there forth and she didnt tail me. MD SUCKS. end of rant.

I agree that most Florida drivers have a retarded driving ability. The worst part is the FLA freeways when they instantly whip into different lanes without signaling or even looking. The drivers around my area are actually pretty good. The only time I ever have to deal with lousy drivers is when I go to some of the richer suburbs around Columbus where half the drivers have brand new SUV's and continuously talk on ther cell phones and obviously lack basic driving knowledge as they cut people off and slam on their brakes for no reason and choose to drive way too slow and block traffic. I'm sure no matter where you are in the USA there will be bad drivers, but some areas certainly have many more bad drivers than others. That's why the Lord invented horns and loud exhausts, and of course the middle finger

its just the stereotype. they had something about it on snl too. about some lady driving this unnecessarily huge SUV with nothing in it, eating a sandwhich, doing her makeup, and talking on the phone at the same time.
True story....
I passed by an accident with my friend a few weeks back. two women we ask if they are alright and what happened. one was looking for something under her passanger seat while on the phone. and the other one was doing her makeup and writing some stuff down and saw the cars moving out the corner of her eye from the sides and proceeded forward without looking and crashed her escalade into the other ladys navigator. RRRRRRRAAAAAAHHHHH
