IROC-Z vs 2003 Jetta vr6 (modified)

My car is going to be put on the road in a few weeks. This kid wants to run. Just for fun though, he's a cool guy (although I still don't want to lose, heh).

1988 IROC-Z (L98)
- Hooker 2055's / Y pipe, Hi-Flow cat, stock catback , 80 series
muffler.
- (The little B.S stuff), TPiS Airfoil, K&N's, Cleaned and Flowmatched 22lb
Fuel Injectors. All new MSD ignition system.
- Best 1/4 - 14.4@95.x (2.1 60 ft, could have launched harder, 2.77 9 bolt rear)

Mods that may be done before I race him if I have time:
- Holley AFPR, Trans Go shift kit, 160 stat, gutted air box, and jump from 6
degrees of timing to 8.

vs

2003 Jetta vr6 (200 Hp / 195 Torque stock)
- Stage 2 v/f super charger (Stage 2 = high capacity Bosch injectors, 8.0
psi pulley, race bypass valve, custom remapped Stage 2 VF.GIAC
software.)
- Catback exhaust (I think)

I'm thinking I might be ok from a stop or slow roll (highly doubt the race is gonna go faster than 80). But if we were to do a highway roll, he'd yank me. I'm going to really try and get it on video for everyone.

Is that 200hp rating with the supercharger (is that stock?) or was that a bolt on?

it might be a close one.I know from experience ( I worked for vw for a year) that a worked over VR6 car is no slouch.they can be torquey little bastards.
Since you said it's supercharged he might rape you up top, from a dig it will be close.

The 200 hp is before the supercharger. Keep in mind that the car is supercharged, so from a slow roll probably won't yield you any advantage.

Yea, i'm not sure. I was thinking that because any fwd car I ever drove in with good power, had no traction 1st gear. I figure any roll speed that does not allow me to downshift to 1st is not going to be good for me.

if 200 hp was before the charger, you're going to get beat. From a dig is your best chance but I have a feeling he'll pass you at the 660.

Someone call Paul Walker for me, I need two big bottles.

Isn't the VR6 all wheel drive?

I really think I can drop my car from a 14.4 to a low 14 with the shift kit, airbox, and bumped timing. Atleast I won't lose as bad then.
